I found a carpet steam cleaner with a long handle on Amazon. Under 200 AUD with postage. But the catch is I’d have to have an electrical adapter to use it outside the US. I may still have one. But then I’m probably going to find out again that I can’t use the extension handle with the steam function…

For all the ads the internet is so shitty when I’m actually looking for something I want to buy. At this point I’m probably just going to use a weed sprayer to mist my carpet with F10 disinfectant 🙄

I think I got a bit overexcited putting in my grocery order, nearly got up to $500! Normally it’s around $350-$300 for the month. It’s probably a touch of anxiety making me want to stock up, I got the stuff to make a big batch of canned chili and some canned chicken. Plus a lot of nuts and dried fruit which are always a touch expensive. Hopefully they will actually have most of the stuff, they do have a tendancy to not actually provide the meat I order and if that happens I’m going to have to hunt down some mince for the chili from elsewhere.

Still waiting on the tradies about this roof leak and (I assume) partial ceiling replacement.

So annoyed. If I’d felt I was able to get up in the crawlspace safely I might have been able to put a strategically placed bucket in there and at least save the mould damage to the ceiling over lockdown. But it’s an awkward cramped space and I didn’t want to risk a fall or putting a foot through the plaster.

Finally got an interview for internal role switch I applied for a few weeks ago, it’s tomorrow. Also booked in for check in with Dr on Friday after blood pressure monitoring, and hoping the blood test ill do tomorrow morning will be with him by then too 🤞getting the internal job switch would be very good for my blood pressure I feel… Back to stable hours of my choosing would be heaven

Anyone interested in the recent Artemis launch/mission, I would highly recommend watching Apollo 11 (from 2019). It’s just amazing

I think going to known primary sources and searching in the index of those is probably your best bet

like getting the OED or Encyclopaedia Britt or even going to wikipedia directly

They won’t have the information I need. It’s along the lines of does this tent have this specific feature (because the photos suck and there’s no manual), what ingredients are in this cleaner, how to sanitize this, what will achieve this outcome.

Sometimes I can find a video of assembly, sometimes I find something from the EPA, sometimes I can dig up a manual or find some more information from a different seller. A lot of the time it’s all the same vague 101 info that doesn’t answer the one question I have.

The internet is becoming really stupid.

Oh yeah, ai should count as information pollution.

But also if you want one specific piece of information it just gives sources that regurgitate the same stuff you already know and don’t answer the particular question you’re trying to hone in on.

Also adding quotes and excluding terms doesn’t seem to work anymore

I watched a couple of shows on Netflix over the weekend.

How to build a sex room. I won’t tell you what it’s about but I will say it was eye opening. Not kid friendly. Don’t watch it with your parents. 5/5 🔗

Cooked with cannabis. The hosts, the cooks and the judges all get ripped. Not kid friendly. Watch it with your parents if they’re into that kinda thing. No judgement. 5/5 🌱

Fed the little guy and he was begging to come in :( I’ve stopped letting him in but have made sure the tarp is keeping the shelter area dry.

I’m treating and keeping an eye on a potential ringworm spot on my finger. Carpet machine arrived but not the shampoo yet. Trying to clean and put all my shit away.

    spoiler

Dreamed about Melbcat coming back to life. I’m deeply not coping.

Well that was a mentally exhausting easter.

p’s just left. Decided to stay down here for a day or two more.

Also found a yellowtailed black cocky (I think) feather this morning:

edit hrmm… looks like it’s illegal. Guess i just put it back on the lawn where I found it lol.

edit 2… looks like they’re rare to find. flock swings past every second day to tear up the banksias. All the other birds hide from them.

I’d keep it. The law is probably meant for the wildlife trade, so people don’t kill endangered animals for their feathers/fur etc. If it’s a naturally shed feather you found in your yard it’s fine.
