don’t you think?

Maybe I should, I really just want a spoon to scoop my coffee (I take my own to actually eat with).

If only there was some sort of alchemy that could be performed to convert them.

With the rate cutlery disapears around here that could still be expensive. And the increased demand would probably wipe out the op-shop supply and lead to higher prices. Unless they take trade-ins, we have something like 100 knives and only one solitary spoon.

I wonder if I’d get in trouble for starting a Go Fund Me to buy more cutlery for the kitchen at work.

No reservations, I’m going to make every one wait in a long line down the street until I feel like it’s the right time to serve them.

I’m not a huge fan of seeds in my salad. I like to make croutons to give crunch, or just rely on the crunchiness of cos lettuce.

I really nailed my salad for lunch. The dressing was just a simple lime juice and yoghurt based, but once mixed in the salad with the egg, avocado, parmesan and bacon bits it was a perfect balance. I hope the lime and saltbush dressing I’ve done for the side salad for dinner tonight is as successful.

You just reminded me I was going to sprinkle some fresh corriander on my fish curry last night. I guess it is a bit late now.
I chop and freeze a lot of herbs, including corriander. I mix them with oil and freeze them in ice cube trays. You can also add water if that suits your recipes better, but I am usually adding oil anyway and because the oil is a bit soft you can chop a cube in half if you need to.

I had some of my frozen fish curry for dinner tonight and it was pretty darn good. The two pack approach of freeIng the raw marinaded fish seperately from the curry sauce so that I could cook it rather than freezing it cooked and reheating worked really well. It’s definitely on my list to repeat.

We finally got some rain! Hopefully there was enough at home to get a decent amount into the water tank.

I think Ballarat’s being missed. 😭

I really hope so too. I have lots of new plants that I’ve needed to keep watering and my water tank ran dry weeks ago.

A common pattern. I have wondered whether a service that had someone visit on a regular basis to do a house inspection would be feasible, it’s the motivational trigger for most people to clean. It’s either people visiting or a deadline approaching on another task you want to avoid.

Well done. It has taken me many years (ok, decades) to fully appreciate the benefits of doing chores first thing instead of putting them off to the last possible minute.
Enjoy your music.

I’ve always put it down to the same thing, but I now think an autistic tendency to avoid abbreviations and idioms could also be a part of it.

I’m glad I didn’t trust them and gave the garden a good water yesterday.

That’s good, because I like talking about them!

Tonight’s hamburger was pretty good. I’ve never actually made proper hamburger buns before, I’m glad I worked out I can use my small loaf pan on top as a weight. It didn’t just make it flat, the weight made it a bit denser so it didn’t fall apart as I ate.
Mr Woof’s and Miss Meow’s real names. Which means when anyone here uses my username I have a brief moment of confusion before I realise they are actually referring to me 🤣
