According to the reddit post where I saw this image, it was originally posted to a tumblr account which has since been deleted. So now this image just floats through the internet, untethered (much like Lain).

      I dunno, at the end of GitS Motoko spent some time staring blankly from a child’s body. I think they’d have a lot in common. 🤪

        I guess they’re equally fucked up in the head :v

        But yeah, maybe Motoko would feel empathy for Lain, and would probably want to protect her.
