Another week in the books. Let’s chat about manga in the general discussion thread! Feel free to use this thread for questions, comments, recommendations, etc.

Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).

Can’t remember if I mentioned this last week, but I started reading Gundam Thunderbolt 10 days ago or so and it’s been really cool. The mechanical art is very good, and has a strong sci-fi feel to it. Very dark though. Holy cow, I forgot just how dark this story is.

Last week was rather busy so I only managed to read through Travel Gal! A Cross-Japan Bike Travelog and doing so only made me more sad about the cancellation. I really enjoyed the story and I got to learn some things I didn’t know about “proper” biking travel so that in itself made it worth it. Too bad I won’t get to see the whole trip through, it was fun.

Was it the best thing ever? No. But it was well made and enjoyable adventure from start to (early) finish.

I bought about 20 manga, manwha last week. Still a lot to read, but i could say a bit about the one i have read.

The Healer Consort/Koukyuu Ihiden Volume 3: In case you don’t know it, it’s a issekai, a nurse get reicanated, first just helping people in a small town, but then the prinz need help and she healed him. But he took her to the palace as a healing courtesan.

Volume 3 was nice shower her healing skills a bit better in this world.

Kimi ni Koisuru Satsujinki/Killers in Love Volume 2:

Well it’s weird. No clue how to summarize it without spoiler, two highschooler come together and they start to kill people they have problems with. It’s weird, probably that weirdness and who at least the male mc maybe slowly transform to someone crazy that i like. Well i don’t know that’s just my assumption that will happen.

Angnyeoneun Moraesigyereul Doedollinda/The Villainess Turns the Hourglass Volume 1:

I’m a bit obsessed with villainess stories, this is probably the first i start to read with a somewhat evil villainess. No issekai this time, it’s with time travel as the title probably told you. And this villainess doesn’t just to survive but revenge. Sound fun to i buy more volume, it’s no new series, an already completly released as webtoon.

Tensei Shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto o Hitakakusu: A Tale of the Great Saint/A Tale of the Secret Saint Volume 1:

A reborn sword saint that get quite strong. Probably nothing i continue to buy, i don’t know yet. But the first volume didn’t show something to exciting. The saint is not too overpowered yet so maybe there couldbe interresting battles and how her past, the comes back to her could be maybe interesting, but it’s more typical fantasy overpowered mc story.

Ishigami Senki/(de: Die Legende der Steinkrieger) Volume 1:

A bit more interesting Fantasy story than the one above. These Steinkrieger (translated stone warriors) are warrior, that rescued the kindom in the past. But disappeared from the public as a legend. So with an upcoming conflict these stone power wielding warrior came back, one standing at the mc side. Already in volume 1 were some nice battles and the story could envolve to something interesting, maybe.

** Koisuru (Otome) no Tsukurikata/I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend into a Girl Volume 2:**

Dude want to make his male friend cute with makeup, making hair choosing cloths and friend want to be cute for him. Everything in this manga envolves arround this idea. It’s nothing that surprises you, but read it if you want to see something cute. It’s quite simple.

Oshi ni Amagami/Otaku Vampire’s Love Bite Volume 1:

Well this is kind of cute as well, bit not as much as the manga above. We have a really obsessed vampire otaku and a dude, her neighbor,

dudes problems, spoiler first two chapter i think

that get targeted to fast from vampires,

funny, cute story about that. Maybe will read more about this.

Chi o Hau Boukoku no Oujo/The Blood-Crawling Princess of a Ruined Country Volume 2-3:

Short warning before you look into this. This manga has a lot very brutal scenes with blood, rape and many cruel things more. It’s drawn to feel kimd of disgusted from what you see. I was really unsure if i should continue this story. A princess lost her kingdom and to survive, she found a place in a city full of prostitues. She plans

    minor spoiler about princess plans

revenge, but at the same time rescue people arround her.

Again, this manga is designed to show brutal disgusting people, that goes on in volume 2-3 of course, but at least got more exciting about the plot and has more action than the start.
