    Honestly at this point, I think Bowser and Peach are just trying to keep Mario, who must be in his 70s by now, active, physically and mentally.

      I’ve always imagined it as Peach and Bowser have some kind of Romeo and Juliet love story, and Mario is just some asshole who can’t mind his own business and keeps interfering; potentially an incel who thinks he and Peach are/should be a thing. And because of the whole royalty thing, both Peach and Bowser agreed to pretend he’s kidnapping her so she doesn’t get disowned by her family.

    I mean from Mario’s perspective she’s the only other human in the whole damn dimension he can procreate with. Literal last woman on Earth. Is an incel still an incel, if the fate of humanity’s existence is on the line?
