When I was maybe 10, I was angry that my gift for Xmas from my grandparents was a stuffed white bear. It had a little red green scarf and hat combo. I hated it. My parents wouldnt let me throw it away. I used the scarf to hang the stupid thing in my closet, as if lynched. My parents subsequently freaked the fuck out.
