In my uncaffeinated state earlier, it seemed more important to share the stupid thing I did than to save the remaining coffee.

TBQH the drip tray is the only proper place for Keurig “coffee”. Get a $20 kettle, a $35 Clever Dripper and a $40 hand grinder off Amazon and you will have far better coffee for pretty much the same price as your Keurig machine. Or maybe even skip the kettle and just use the Keurig machine to boil water, or a pan on the stove.
Just drink it out of the drip tray. The best water out of a public water cooler is the good stuff that dripped off of ten people’s hands.
