It’s mostly because all the streaming services won’t give you higher res and HDR unless you’re using one of the boxes. You don’t need the slop tho. Nvidia shield imo has been solid for over a decade now. I’m over fire TV and those cheap shitty no name boxes are even worse. I have no idea why people fuck with those. Even a fire TV is better than that lol.

I don’t know why more people don’t do this. Don’t connect the TV to the Internet. Ever. Do updates using a flash drive if you must and connect whatever flavor streaming box you like. The TVs and their dumb os get slow and shitty anyway so why fuck around with it? Lol.

Yeah I had those wemo switches in my old house and their servers were unreliable as fuck all the time (app was straight garbage). I’m not even surprised they finally pulled the plug. They’re on my shit list forever now.

It costs more but I went hue and couldn’t be happier. Spent too many years complaining about how it was expensive but God damn if they don’t just work and Phillips I trust far more to not just shut shit down (and even if they did, I can still make them work since it’s not proprietary).

I’ve done smart switches and so many suck shit. Also different colors for the bulbs are so nice. And hue has options for wall switches too (slap a little switch on the wall that has different scene options and such). They’re just better honestly lol. Instant response time too. I was cheap for so long avoiding these and I just kick myself now.

I’ve played fairly casually since Destiny 2 (I played the first game a lot more and the 2nd launched in a very sorry state). They should have ended the game with The Final Shape. This new stuff is dumb and I couldn’t even give enough fucks to complete the new campaign which I always have done even playing causally. I think that was the final nail in the coffin.

This game never drew me into the grinding cycle because it wasn’t worth the time. Grind for gear for hours… To what end? It’s just min maxing. First game you could get broken special shit from the raids. Now? I don’t have 4 hours to sit and do that for some random junk that’s not really different from the other junk that usually drops.

Yessir I’ve basically run into all of that. It’s fucking infuriating. It really is like talking to a toddler at times. There seems to be a limit to the complexity of what it can process before it just starts messing everything up. Like once you hit its limit, it will not process the entire thing no matter how many times you fix it together like your example. You fix one problem and then it just forgets a different piece.
