It’s funny because governments need to see behavioral change of their voters before they think about policies against cheap consumer goods. It just doesn’t make sense politically to fight climate change right now. Especially if only taking about it’s importance gets the same number of votes

I know people who argue that burning wood pellets is grean because it’s marketed as “renewable”. It’s difficult to convince them that the wood their burning is not part of a renewable cycle and neither is it just wood scraps that would be there anyways. Same as growing “biofuel” for consumer cars. It’s just not a good use of the limited resources we have

Just an idea but couldn’t the DM stretch out a fight artificially? Not the first time this happens, that could make for an awesome story. In other fights after that though, just add xx extra hp if the fight only took 1 or 2 turns.

It is a fine line but as a player I’d be fine with not steamrolling over every enemy my group encounters

It’s amazing how often this program can be used to solve a problem someone has with their file sharing. And in my opinion it’s an elegant solution and does it’s job very well

Diese Felder sind sehr nützlich, wenn man allgemein gültige Beschreibungen von Beobachtungen formulieren oder Verstehen möchte. Irgendwie ist fast alles zufällig, die meisten Sachen existieren nicht nur in einer Dimension und wenn man die Feststellungen anderer verstehen möchte, ist Analysis die Grundlage, um überhaupt etwas zu verstehen.

Man könnte es als Einstieg in die allgemeine Notation von Zusammenhängen sehen. Ich zweifle aber daran, ob den wirklich jeder einsetzten wird, der ihn in Prüfungen vorweisen musste.

Bin viel auf YouTube und bekomme das Gefühl, die meisten politischen Kommentare dort sind ein zu Text gewordenes Verdauungsproblem. Viel ist Fantreue Bekundung, Zustimmung und Dankbarkeit, dass jemand die gleiche Meinung hat. Fragwürdige oder Kritische Aussagen der Videomacher werden einfach mitgetragen und weder von den extremen Gegenstimmen noch von den Lobesrednern angesprochen. Als hätten die Leute keine andere Informationsquelle mehr außer ihrer handvoll lieblings talking heads.

Es ist wirklich schön zu sehen, dass zumindest auf Lemmy differenzierte Meinungen und sarkastische Äußerungen koexistieren können (zumindest mein Eindruck)

Germany has a similar problem with it’s main railroad service provider being a profit oriented company. Railroads don’t necessarily make money or turn a profit. Instead they protect from damages by other means of transportation. That’s my take on the matter, I’m sure I left many points unaccounted for

If you were saving it. Actually you would be investing it so no need to actually save up 1 million. 30 years is on the optimistic side though. The more common problem seem to be low wages, as those leave nothing to be safed (for 30+ years) at the end of the month.
