  • He had to contractually hand over the plan to the show runners when they ran out of finished books, what you see in the final seasons is what he wanted. Granted it has almost certainly been hamfistedly handled by the show runners but it was his ending.

I am still a big believer that the vitriol of the ending by the fans has played its part into George not finishing the books, and how hes slowly started talking about changing the ending. Personally idgaf if he does change it, he probably does as he will have to admit to changing it as Benioff and Weiss will certainly call him on it if he doesn’t as it massively impacted their careers.

Couple this with his slow pace of writing, huge number of distractions available to him, I am not surprised if he isn’t just running the clock down.

  • Wrong decisions are a part of football, however the big teams getting the majority of benefit from wrong decisions, especially when at home, has never really been addressed by any changes made to the rules including the introduction of VAR based on this.

There are outlier teams like Newcastle in the VAR beneficiaries list but a lot of the other clubs at the top are the ones you would expect.

Gamesmanship of managing the ref and knowing exactly how far to push things, when you can push things, etc. is a part of any sport, I do not want to see it go away.

Eliminating bias is the problem, its not helped when things like fixture lists are clearly manipulated as it just adds to the narrative.

  • I cannot help but feel he got himself sacked on purpose, he has said stupid shit to the press before but this was another level. My guess is he knew a new manager would be coming in the summer and he decided to walk before then rather than deal with this mess anymore.

I think the good results when playing four at the back then switching to three and it not working again underline how little of a shit he gave at the end.

He clearly wants to be a manager and not a coach, and he is never getting that at any of the biggest clubs in Europe even outside of Uniteds messy and dysfunctional setup. His appalling results at United mean he would struggle to get an interview with them.

I cannot help but feel that the current league position of 6th is because other teams have been worse, last ten games they have three wins, two losses and the rest draws, hardly world beating stats.

  • I wouldn’t buy a Dell because I wouldn’t trust the hardware, his position is just the icing. Whole reason I wanted the framework was because I wanted something to last a very long time, I simply do not trust Dell to provide support or parts long term.

The Tim Apple situation hurt, as I really liked the apple silicon for build quality and I had an old Intel Macbook that did indeed last a very long time (still boots even now). However their RAM/Storage pricing for what is an essential amount of storage for me mean even without Timmys boot licking making them a non starter.

I wont buy Nvidia because of their shitty Linux support, Huang being an absolute womble

Lenovo is about as good as you getting for a mainstream brand, and they are ultimately owned by the CCP so meh.

I think with Framework it particularly hurts as at least with Dell or Apple they are quite openly rimming Trump because it will give them competitive advantage and tax cuts while they never really pretended to be for the public good.

WTF do Framework get by supporting Hyperland or Omarchy? Its literary supporting your racist uncle who makes moonshine for half a dozen people when you set yourself up to be an ethical alternative whose current market is more likely to be ethical seeking. Imagine if Oxfam or Doctors without Borders started supporting Trump? World of difference from the NRA supporting Trump due to the starting position.
