I am honestly loving NA beers. When I was drinking, I thought - how useless, why would anyone want a beer with no alcohol. But now that I am on the other side I have realized how few NA drinks have no sweetener in them. I prefer savory drinks, my poison of choice was always gin, second was beer. But if I want a NA drink now, its always soda, or juice, which are too sweet for me or iced tea or bubbly water, both I like but it gets boring. The NA beer has really come in and filled that gap for me. I am actually surprised at how good some of them are. The only issue I have is they are so pricey! I paid $8.00 for a 16oz NA beer last night, dang that’s a lot, not even saving money here by not drinking 😭

“Tuna fish” is a phase used primarily for canned tuna, but not for the live fish or things like tuna steak. It’s because when canned tuna was created in the US in the early 1900’s people who were not right next to the sea (like the majority of the US) did not know what “tuna” was. Firstly, the word is a of Spanish origin and secondly, its a salt water only fish. So in order to sell this to middle America, which was where most of the consumers were at the time but was also made up of people who have never seen the ocean, they added the word “fish” to show like other tinned fish that was commonly purchased: codfish, bluefish, and whitefish, this is also a fish and that is what you can expect when you open this can.

My friend changed her name socially, but not legally about 18 years back purely because she was too lazy to do all the paperwork it took to change your name. Now, her husband says it was one of the smartest choices she could have done and I agree.

As long as it doesn’t become something that is forcibly pushed in to everything I do with the browser and my actions on the browser aren’t available to the LLM they go with, which it sounds like it won’t be, I don’t care if an AI agent exists in the software I use. Though I do feel like the working hours for this could be used in a better way, I’d love to see PWA’s come to Firefox for Linux, as an example.

For those who are talking about how this didn’t happen in your household growing up, please remember you are 1, at best 2 generations removed from full on enforcement of gender roles suppressing things like this, many times physically enforced. So yea, maybe your dad was the one who baked the turkey or did the dishes, but you can be damn sure his dad didn’t.

I visited Astoria, OR and the bartender at the brew pub was out right offended that I mentioned The Goonies.

All I got to say is that the new Steam controller better link to devices as a controller and not a mouse. The current steam controller shows up as a mouse when I connect it to mobile devices via Bluetooth, so I can’t use it with games that have controller integration build in to the game, since they think I am connecting a Bluetooth mouse. The only reason I don’t use my current steam controller as my main controller is because of the mouse issue.
