Why are these systems controllable via the internet to begin with? If I was designing this, it would be accessible via LAN only, and tightly regulated VPN access.

Tall hoods, poor intersection designs inhibiting sidewalk visibility, and idiots assuming “right on red” means they can blast through the turn without needing to check.

The sad part is, it could with a little tweaking.
But that well has been so heavily poisoned by corporate bubble blowing interests, that attempting anything with it is a potential death sentence for your entire project.
