5·8 days agoI’ve read all the comments on this thread so far. There were a lot of good answers, and I think this is the one that made me feel the most optimistic about the future. Congrats!

2·8 days agoHumans as a species surviving or not isn’t really what bothers me. It’s the billions of humans, and animals who will suffer and die in the meantime that bother me. I get what you’re saying, but it comes off as “a million or even a billion people may survive so ignore the rest” to me who’s a cynic. Sorry.

7·9 days agoI hope this is true! Tired of spending every election day waiting for the .2% of voters to decide if we’re gonna keep healthcare or perform a blood sacrifice of the poors.

I got excited about the possibility of backing up shit once, and forever. Then I tried to buy this. Maybe this thread has made me too optimistic lol.

I mean, it makes sense. I care about the games worth hundreds more than the $free.fifty in my bank lol.

Oh yeah, the merging thing confused me in Alberta. People who were already on the highway would move over to the middle/left lanes when they saw someone trying to merge. Like whaaat? Are they stupid or something? Didn’t anyone teach them that the correct thing to do is to speed up in an attempt to stop new cars from entering the highway? It’s like they hate their home life and are not even trying to get home 0.2 seconds faster.
It was a sub’s name, a place to rant about Toronto. :)
There was construction going on every fucking where in Calgary, so I didn’t get to experience much of their city driving itself, so I can’t comment on that. Drivers were lovely outside of the city and in Edmonton though.

2·11 months agoBecause I’ve made choices like having a spouse who would rather live a long life, and kids that I didn’t have at the age of 18. I’d like to be there for them. I get what you’re saying though.

I’ve heard the excuse that the whole daylight savings shenanigans are to help farmers, but that’s always sounded silly.
