17·9 days agoI wish I understood … the second amendment has been completely defanged as it was intended for militia groups. since the government is so effective at squashing solidarity at scale, we’re left with idiot kids shooting up our schools lone-wolf style … and that doesn’t take into consideration the gap in technological prowess vis a vis the US military. I suppose it’s effective propaganda to have such a narrow perspective.
I think it’s queso chaqueño which is often used in this dish. The yuca is in the back next to the meat. That’s a plantain on top of the rice and cheese.
that’s rice and cheese

51·19 days agoI wonder how many Americans, while believing they are a sophisticated culture, understand this is a test of their common existential narrative… which is backward and evidence of an inability to scale given modernity

yes indeed, glad you’re attempting to overcome the struggle of life like us all … good luck to you
Sure, it’s always at least accompanied by a good spicy salsa. It’s definitely different from the food further north though. Tacos are there but they’re not as good as Mexico City, for the most part. My absolute favorite thing to eat there are the tlayudas especially from the vendors on the street which you, conversely, won’t find up north … at least not good ones. The mezcal is also awesome and I love a good mole … I’ve still never found one as good as an ex girlfriend’s mom once made me 😅 but what I had in Oaxaca came pretty close
yeah it’s called la calle de los paraguas next to the witch’s market…I suppose they provide a modicum of shelter as well ☺️
yeah good way of putting it 👍

27·30 days agodo we have to be burdened by western existential narratives vis a vis Orwellianism that don’t scale? seemingly, yes! society seemingly doesn’t scale gracefully … though China looks better-adapted to present reality

212·30 days agoah, and the challenges to scale once again hit the wall … they’ll have to use AI to police maintainers to keep them from using AI 😂
you have such tact ☺️ I’ll make sure to remember these specifics for the future. I’ll wash my feet and think of you, thanks!
well I’m not sure how making them wetter would have helped. it’s not a bacterial infection… drying would have done the trick

I think that’s a good way of putting it. Apparently, there are at least six places called “Copacabana” around the world. This is the original one and derives from an Aymara phrase meaning “view of the lake.” Almost all other locations trace their name back to the Bolivian town via devotion to the Virgin of Copacabana … as per what Wikipedia and Wikitravel tell me

God bless her 🙏 this is how we build Americans
