    Not really.

My ThinkPad X1 Carbon is around 2.5 lb. So thin that sometimes I forget it’s in my backpack.

Battery life is at least 5 hours when working but when I’m just reading and doing light things can be way more. (With Linux).

I barely notice the fan even when transcoding and CPU at peak.

  • I originally thought not ACAB, but until the “good cops” start arresting the “bad apples”, corrupt, prepotent, wife beaters, drug traffickers, sleazy, etc. I will conclude ACAB.

The only ones who get arrested are those who commit egregious offences that the public are aware of and leadership cannot swipe under the rug. And then the “Investigation” shows that there were already multiple reports of previous wrong doing and that their bosses and other cops already knew.

Was he the “bad apple” or was it the whole force which knew what he was doing?

You’d need a police force with zero bad apples for me to believe that not ACAB.

We need to accept that to really fix the situation.

I grew up in mexico where corruption is endemic. One day, my mom was complaining about corruption pointing fingers. I told her that I left mexico because it’s impossible to live there without being corrupt. That, if you give money to a corrupt police officer or any other bureaucrat you are corrupt, and most of the time it’s not even a choice. If you didn’t report wrong doing because “nothing will be done” you are corrupt.

So, It’s my observation that ACAB.

  • I am Mexican Canadian.

Mexico hasn’t forgotten about all the stolen territory. Yes, they call it sale and secession and whatever, it was stolen.

If I put a gun to your head and ask you to sell me a property you have for $10. You are going to do it. I’d say I purchased it. I’m sure you’ll say I stole it.

    So, why do disagree?

Because of the wise reflection of “first they came for the…”

Well. If we don’t stand against them taking over Venezuela, who is going to stand with us when they try to take over us (Greenland, Canada, Mexico and the rest)

The manifest Destiny is no joke.

A story as old as time.

For many adults, children are at the same time “smarter than their parents” and also “more disrespectful than their parents at their age”.

And children think that the old people “left them without opportunities”

They’ve been saying that before biblical times.

The funny thing is that I’ve observed that children who blame adults become the adults who blame children.

The well adjusted children become well adjusted adults who don’t blame others.

    Stop it about boomers.

Some boomers, yes, but also some GenX and millenials.

In fact, the last election was heavily influenced by millenials shifting to the right.

But of course, not every milenial

Dividing based on age is part of the political agenda.

I don’t think you want to solve the issue. At first blush it seems to me you have an alt account arguing the opposite.

That’s the only reason I can think for someone starting a post with “boomers”.
