“Artificial intelligenance” is not making human intelligence look very good
COVID was just a blip on the stock market, it was a huge drop then a quick recovery. I don’t think it even technically qualified as a recession. As for today, the DJIA is not very far off the all-time high as of yesterday

They probably wrote things in English in there they wanted Trump to read and then left it next to him on purpose
What is even being counted here? In my lifetime, there was the 1987 savings and loan crisis, a downturn in the early 90s, the 2000 dot com bubble, and the 2008 “great recession.” Except 2008, each of these was relatively minor and followed by a long period of growth. (This comment does not adress how the Dow Jones Industrial Average does not represent the real economy)
Mix in a bit of ivermectin and that’s a hot date for a Friday night
What does this even mean? According to this article, Palantir was selected for this contract in a rushed, no-bid process several years ago
“UK Government Ends One Of Palantir’s Contracts” would be a more accurate headline

The water has to do with using less water being better for the environment

Sounds like you’ve got a lot of shitty restaurants around you, sorry about that. I bring my family to this really good sushi restaurant for special occasions and never walk out spending more than $100 for an amazing meal. I recently went on a date to a downtown restaurant with $6 beers, $12 cocktails, and $10 ceviche. All these are local spots of course, you’re paying a corporate profit premium if you’re going to chain restaurants
Because like 3 companies own nearly all radio stations in the US, so they’re all the same

Even low flush toilets use more water than modern urinals though. Some modern urinals use no water at all

But the comic is clearly about this one argument. How do you extrapolate that it’s anti-vegan?

Urinals use significantly less water than toilets, fyi
How did you draw that conclusion from this cartoon?

Corporate chain restaurants like Denny’s are 100% going to be more expensive and worse quality than anything local. I live in Austin, TX and have no issue at all finding amazing tacos for under $4 or sub sandwiches for under $8.
Where was that dinner date? $150 for two dinners, an appetizer, and drinks plus tax and tip at a fancy restaurant doesn’t seem that bad to me.
Don’t get me wrong, prices have absolutely gone up, my point though is there are lots of options for dates (where I live) that aren’t going to cost you anywhere near $200
I’ve got some fancy therapy words for her: “External locus of control.” For her, everything she experiences is being done to her by others. Even if she’s blatantly the one who did something, her brain just cannot accept fault and projects it all onto others. Her childhood was probably a hot mess, and she should go to therapy.

Seriously, how the fuck are they measuring this? I just went out with friend to a nice spot downtown and spent about $40 for dinner and 3 drinks
I don’t think it’s pointlessly gendered at all (but it’s definitely a stub of an article that should be much longer). That men are more likely to derive meaning from their job is 100% true, as is the fact that male-dominated industries have borne the brunt of recent layoffs, and those most affected are less likely to have the skills to adapt. All of this together absolutely puts a subset of men at higher risk of mental health issues, which makes them more vulnerable to getting caught up in fictions like those offered by AI
