  • You can make criticisms of both. Just actually talk from a place of knowing what you are talking about when you do it.

While I’m not a leftcom, Bordiga is probably one of the more solid critics of Stalin. I disagree with Bordiga’s criticism, but I can track and understand where he was coming from because he very clearly actually did the reading.

What I don’t always respond kindly to, is someone going “14 kajillion dead, worse than hitler, authoritarian”.

Libs politics are in support of capitalism. Put another way, those politics stand in the way of working class liberation. There isn’t a compromise here, we have to drive out all the pro-capitalist notions in the minds of the working class.

Is this meme the propaganda for achieving that? Maybe not. But the sentiment that liberal politics are right wing is correct and you won’t find a single socialist worth their salt who disagrees with that.

We will organize among working class people with backwards ideas and a lack of understanding at times, but we NEVER promote or work with liberal politicians or parties.

  • We have a general strike happening right now in Minnesota. The current task in my opinion is spreading that to neighboring states, but issues like this tend to get put in a box of their respective states.

Despite the nearly insignificant left wing presence in the US we’re trying. But we are easily in a worse position than the KPD was in Nazi Germany, or the italian left under Mussolini. We are significantly less developed ideologically than either example.

That doesn’t mean nothing can be done, but the left just isn’t big right now, and the masses in the US have been frogs in a pot of water slowly reaching a boiling point for a very long time. People are totally oblivious, apathetic, and comfy sitting around boiling alive.

Even so, left parties are seeing big jumps in membership right now, we are living in the weeks where decades happen. A month from now we could be in an entirely different situation.

  • Facebook is what free’d me of having to interact with my local DSA /hj

Local DSA posts everything on facebook, I don’t have facebook and won’t post my face onto there to make it happen.

I email them but they just tell me check the facebook

I try to join the discord but they want to see me at events first, which I can’t find, because they are posted on the facebook and I can only scroll down 3 posts before I get asked to login.

I give them my number and my signal but they don’t reach out.

    🙃

Then its targeting a comparatively small amount of people then. Households that make over 180k (which is below your figure of 2 6figure incomes) would be the top 20% of households. And that factors in the high cost of living areas as well, so what you describe is an even smaller amount of people.

  • And I’m sure the party that keeps winning due to this mindset is going to change the system, I’m sure their corporate donors would allow them to do that.

    Definitely. /s

We can achieve a better system, there is nothing so exceptional about the US electoral system, especially the democratic party itself, that we have to confine ourselves to it.
