It is one of the best adaptations I’ve seen for the novel, even though they kind of botch part of the last bits.

Gaming@lemmy.zip•Rumor: FromSoftware Making New Game For 2026 Codenamed FMCEnglish
9·10 months agoThis just in, a game developer is working on a new game.
Not 100% the same thing, but There Will Be Brawl was fun. Kirby was a Hannibal Lecter killer in that show.
Tokyo Gore Police is pretty fun.
He got a job in the mail room after getting extremely mad and breaking a table during the interview.
Also he got promoted after threatening the mail room boss.
This appears to be The Short Snow.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Even Starfield fans can't fathom why it won most innovative gameplay in 2023's Steam awards
71·2 years agoThis right here is the exact reason Starfield won most innovative, and the same reason Hogwarts Legacy won best on Steam Deck. People who hadn’t played any of the games in the votes only voted on games they had heard of.

Games@lemmy.world•Why the original, 1999 version of EverQuest is still one of the best MMOs to play todayEnglish
81·3 years agoUO has a super robust eco system of private shards and server software. It’s kind of amazing. Pretty active development on things like ServUO or ModernUO servers. The client has been fully rewritten and actively developed with improvements on ClassicUO. All of these are open source as well.
For servers you have places that function entirely as different eras of UO like the Renaissance shard, or even entirely new content like what’s in Outlands.
There’s honestly a lot to be found out there and it’s really neat.

Boost for Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it possible to change my default feed from subscriber active to all new ?English
31·3 years agoSame request here. I haven’t found a way to set my default feed to All Active. Hoping I’m not just dumb and haven’t seen it.
Ah, kids. Yeah that’ll take a toll on your free time for a long while. That makes sense. I still use liftoff over other apps and it has been working like a champ even without updates. If the dev ever gets back to working on it, that’ll keep it on the top of the apps for me.
I get this fairly often though usually not right next to each other like that. Not sure how active development is for liftoff anymore though, so hard to tell if this is something that’ll get any attention.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•ActivityPub 1.0.0 released for WordPressEnglish
1·3 years agoBasically, people on other activitypub services like Mastodon can follow your posts on WordPress and they’ll see them in their feed like any other content. You can install another plugin to follow others on the Fediverse from within your WordPress site as well, but I haven’t felt the need for that yet personally.

10·3 years agoBeen using this plugin for a while now, and it honestly makes it super simple to get your blog on the fediverse. Really cool, and I recommend it if your site is on WordPress. You basically have to do a tiny bit of set up, then you can pretty much forget them plugin is even there, it just works.
