I’m hoping something happens with Ladybird eventually, but who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a random act of kindness that's stuck with you?
3·4 months agoI was working retail checkout on Christmas day several years ago and the store was nearly completely dead (it was near 3pm). My feet were sore and I really wanted to go home to our family reunion with a bunch of cousins and extended family, so I had finished all of my normal responsibilities early, but wasn’t allowed a seat since I had already used my break a few hours prior. My boss then left for a few moments, and a kind customer spoke to me a moment or two as I scanned their items, and asked how I was doing. I said “Alright”, but must not have been very convincing because they offered me a hug on their way out. I left the job the next year, and am in a much better place now with a wonderful boss, but I still remember that hug.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•do you think lemmy will ever be popular?
3·1 year ago(thinking of Reddit) God, I hope not."
FancyZones was great, now I use Pop!_OS’s tiling feature. It’s a bit different, but I like the additional keybinds for controlling window movement.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's your secret ingredient that makes your version of a common dish better than anyone else's?
7·2 years agoI recently started grinding spices by hand with a mortar/pestle and salt/pepper mills, and it really made a difference. Now everything smells very nice, which really made all of the food I prepare much better. Less of a secret ingredient, but it’s usually better to always have fresh spices / ingredients on hand (if possible)
