No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What would life be like if we had 2 moons? With 2 different lunar cycles, how would we tell which time of the year it is without months?
11·2 years agoYou could simply ignore one moon for you calendar. 😄

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•[article] Why Norway — the poster child for electric cars — is having second thoughts | VoxEnglish
6·2 years agoThat is exactly, what I mean. It’s not so much about impressing other people and more about impressing themselves. They want a big car, because they think, it makes them big. Even people who care about cars don’t see every car and think how cool the owner must be.
Drugging you brain isn’t good sleep. Sleep is the time for a brain to clean up. Try something like meditation.
It can have a placebo effect. Like a glass of warm milk.

92·2 years agoIs it really something that inpresses other people? I feel cars only impress their owners and they hope other people are as impressed.
They could at least build solar energy. They don’t.

3·2 years agoMany of us love building beautiful fantasy cities. And it suck when you can only build cities that are worse that reality. Ok. I do understand, that there is not every mode of transportation from the start. But biking and walking!?

196@lemmy.blahaj.zone•Private Ownership of Social Rules is Inherently Anti-Democratic
20·2 years agoNo. Social Democrats protected democracy again both nazis and communists. Communists don’t want democracy. They want dictatorship of workers over everybody else. Nazis want the dictatorship of their people iver everybody else. Social democrats want a democracy of free and equal people.
Yes, I hate every single brand that interupts my gardening videos.
I think ads could work better if YouTube didn’t use them to make the free experience awful. They usually have neither to do with me nor with the content I tried to watch.
I wish I could tell YouTube, I can’t buy a car or sell a house, I’m not interested in football an I don’t wear make up or womens’ underwear.

Many smaller businesses are good organisations. It’s when they grow too big, that moral gets lost.
