There was also a lot less on demand content / media / entertainment available back then. There were no social networks, no mass market smartphones, the internet itself was extremely primitive by modern standards, gaming was a lot more niche.

I was never a huge Star Wars fan, but I of course saw the prequel trilogy in theatres because it was a big deal back then.

I haven’t seen any of the subsequent Star Wars movies except for Rogue One, which I enjoyed a lot. From what I’ve heard most of the new Star Wars fare is aimed at fans and doesn’t really push beyond the barrier of the Star Wars concept.

Looks like I missed this one for the bug screen! Will have to be on the watch for the streaming version.

It is unbelievably good. The unique crossover (show me another movie that does Aliens X Terminator 2)! Horror sci-fi in venice!

Can’t speak for the youtuber, but even though Iron Long is a short game, I felt like it had a lot of potential for expending it’s lore. Some of the console entries hint to a lot of things going on.

I am surprised this is the first time I’ve heard of this film.

I thouI’ve seen most of the horror movies from the early 2000s (not only mainstream ones, but b-movies and below).

Will have to check this out!

Side note: Just re-watched this, Carpenter predicted LLMs back in 1982!

I real like 80s/early 90s Italian post-apocalyptic and scif-fi movies with strong horror elements:

• Rats: Night of Terror (1984)
• Shocking Dark (1989)
• Contamination (1980)

This looks fun, I love horror anthologies (except when one of the short pieces is so good that I wish it was a full feature :) ).

Oh, I’ve been updating the SBCs. Although my current Pi 4 has been running for over 5 years, don’t see a need to update to Pi 5.

It works great, I’ve been using a Pi SBC for torrenting for nearly 10 years now (in addition to NAS, a media server, Pi-Hole and more).

I would strongly recommend going with DietPi. It has a great set of custom CLI management tools, very active developers and a relatively large community (150K+ installatios active last quarter). It’s based on Debian for ARM so it has a solid foundation.

Game was awesome! Minimalist but also very creepy and unnerving.

I thought The Autopsy of Jane Doe was pretty good, I was expecting less. I thought I would like The Last Voyage of the Demeter more than I did. It started well, but then second part of the movie wasn’t all that engaging.

I will be watching Passenger.

Duplass make great horror.

Although I don’t think they’ve been able to beat the OG Creep.

Sounds like a bad fit, even though I only want to share (it’s some relatively rare content that took me some effort to procure in the highest quality that I believe is available).

This is really good if you like sci-fi action b-movies.

Something like Qbittorrent-Nox or rTorrent/ruTorrent for Gnutella would be great.
