1·25 days agoI was thinking that as well, though wood seems like a bad idea, and not much of a handle. I wonder if it’s notable that the pokey bits are on opposite sides

District of Columbia “is a District of Columbia Court of Appeals case that held that the police do not owe a specific duty to provide police services to specific citizens based on the public duty doctrine.” And Castle Rock v. Gonzales, is a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court ruled, 7–2, that a town and its police department could not be sued under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for refusing to enforce a restraining order, even though the refusal led to the murders of a woman’s three children by her estranged husband.
“Osteo-odonto-keratoprosthesis also known as “tooth in eye” surgery, is a medical procedure to restore vision in the most severe cases of corneal and ocular surface patients. It includes removal of a tooth from the patient or a donor.” Essentially, your tooth is implanted in your cheek and once it grows a new blood supply it’s taken out and put in your eye to replace a bad cornea. “I have to die. If it is now, well then I die now; if later, then now I will take my lunch, since the hour for lunch has arrived - and dying I will tend to later.” – Epictetus
Christians use 2 Corinthians 2:14 as an excuse for divorce “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols?” To divorce and remarry is biblically considered adultery; but Erika is a widow, and if Usha won’t convert JD gets a free pass on divorce, and Christians will just excuse it as the righteous thing for JD to do.

‘FIVE RAPE PREVENTION TIPS’
-
If someone is drunk, don’t rape them.
-
When you see someone walking by themselves, leave them alone.
-
Use the Buddy System! If it is difficult for you to stop yourself from raping someone, ask a trusted friend to accompany you at all times.
-
Carry a rape whistle. If you find that you are about to rape someone, blow the whistle until someone comes to stop you.
-
Don’t forget: honesty is the best policy. When asking someone out, don’t pretend that you are interested in them as a person. Tell them straight up that you expect to be raping them later. If you don’t communicate your intentions, they may take it as a sign that you do not plan to rape them.”

Evidence for mechanisms via cortical activation and stress hormones leading to increased vascular and cerebral inflammation and oxidative stress has increased.” https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0013935126009795
