“Look at our big adjusted EBITDA! Great quarter guys! Buy our stocks there’s clearly an 20% upside in the next 12 months according to our FCFF model”

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•How do you play/stream media from your server during offline hours?English
30·1 year agoIf all the devices are in the same network you should be able to stream content even without internet. I had to wait for 5 days to my ISP set up my internet on my new address and I watched my jellyfin library in the meantime with no problems.

1·2 years agoOh… It’s not always that I need to sync the subtitles because in most cases bazarr gets the best subtitle but eventually even the SRT with the best score still has it a little off sync…It is good to see if the video is being transcoded too. I hope they implement it back soon… Thanks!

Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•Fails to load subtitlesEnglish
4·2 years agoI have the same situation… Only external subtitles load…I have the same guess that is my potato server’s fault. Now I just use external subtitles from bazarr
I don’t know if this would fit your needs but I just have a wireguard server and when I travel I just connect to my VPN from my phone and start my access point …then all the other devices will be connected to my VPN through the phone access point (there is an option to let clients use VPN in access point settings) and watch jellyfin. For me this is the simplest and cheapest option I found.

Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•How do you cast content to chromecast with Jellyfin?English
1·2 years agoAre you using a custom ROM? I couldn’t cast anything after installing lineage with microg on my phone. Maybe it’s something related to google services.

I’ve never been to a lan party…some of my friends used to go to lan houses (I don’t know the English name for it but maybe cybercafes) to play Counter Strike, but not me…my favorite memory while playing games was when I finally realized I was above average on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Me and my friends used to skateboard and we played THPS just to watch the character’s movie after completing all the levels. I was finally good at something, never had been good at videogames, that felt amazing! Completing some levels in one ride and being praised by it, oh the good old days.

5·2 years agoO wouldn’t dream of buying a pi 5…a pi 3 is like a month’s salary in my country (damn shitty hole) so if you have a 3 selling by 30 dollars I’d try to buy.

Yeah I can relate to that…I’m on vyvanse for a year now and the other day I gave one to my wife that had to do a test she was studying a lot to pass and. After like 4 hours she looked like a neth head literally running around the house while I was drinking coffee and reading a book. For the first time in forever all that noise inside my head is gone.
That’s why I love Lemmy! Every day I learn something interesting here!

3·2 years agoYeah I can understand that about leechers…that’s why I tried to run a docker container to have my files accessible 24/7 in my home server. The same thing with torrent… I let the files a long time seeding to give back what I took. I hope I slowly find some cool music from people that let me download…gonna try asking them to share the folder to see if I get luck…thanks

3·2 years agoYeah I don’t even have a large collection but I’ve seen some jazz albums locked that are pretty easy to get by torrenting. If I don’t wanna share something I’d just keep it in a different folder…anyway, I found nicotine awesome and plan to spend some time looking for new unlocked stuff…thanks

Water can be like this when it rains a day or a couple hours before. Every river become like this when it rains. It is perfectly fine to eat fish from this river.
