I effectively have one of these in the form.of a “flash can” for one of my AR pistols. It redirects the sound downrange, making it louder in that direction, while making it less-loud for me.
It’s a way to have the gun be slightly less-loud for me and people beside and behind me at the range without having to wait a year to get a tax stamp for a silencer.

That’s not quite it either. It’s 60% of independent voters, so it also doesn’t include MAGA. It’s the swing voters, which happen to be the only voters who really matter.
But, fortunately for the GOP, they’re also easily swayed by the “both sides” narratives and can be disillusioned into staying home instead of voting. It’s why voter turnout is one of the biggest predictors in whether the Dems or the GOP will win an election. Independent voters have trended more leftward in recent elections because the GOP is fucking insane.

Real ID isn’t exclusive to US citizens. Non-citizen permanent residents and people here on temporary legal status such as work or student visas, DACA, etc get Real ID cards as well.

How do you prove citizenship? A lot of (most?) people don’t even have passports, which is the only federal ID that most people can get that establishes citizenship.
Matthew 25:31-46 is when Jesus lays out the standards by which people will be judged. I don’t think MAGA would rate highly by Jesus’s standards, since it’s based entirely on the treatment of the poor, the sick, foreigners, and the imprisoned.

Yeah. What seems to.pretty consistently make them run for the hills isn’t insults, but laughter. When people are yelling in fear and anger, fascists feel powerful. But when people laugh, they feel weak and vulnerable.
It also makes it a lot harder for them to justify violence. You say they need to be hanged and they’ll claim you were threatening them and kill you. But it’s harder to make that argument when there’s video of a crowd laughing at mockery.

I think the case with ICE is 5 years. Which isn’t a crazy time period for large incentives to kick in normally, but the odds of these ICE agents still being employed in 5 years isn’t great if MAGA goes down, and if it doesn’t then 50k won’t buy a decent pair of shoes in 5 years.
Tolerance is a social contract. Those who would not grant it to others are not protected by it.

Putting aside ideological stances on economic and social structures, how does someone reason that the country being broke makes socialism more achievable?
Fire Marshalls in many places are way too bust for random safety inspections. They’re reviewing plans, inspecting new buildings and remodels, and sometimes also doubling as the city’s arson investigators. And in some jurisdictions they’re also the fire chief.
Lots of the time it is a fire hazard, but unless the Fire Marshall knows about it nothing gets done.
Fire code is usually checked when the building is built or if there’s a remodel, but otherwise most places can go a long, long time without a fire inspection unless there’s a specific complaint.
Reporting suspected safety issues to the Fire Marshall or Building Official is okay. You’re not being a Karen. Building and Fire codes are written in response to avoidable tragedies and should be followed.
