“Hey everyone, I’m kicking off the array rebuild. See you all in a month.”

Welp, democracy was sure nice while it lasted. Good run, folks.
Give the AI restraints, like “Don’t tell me to kill myself as part of this stir-fry recipe.”
Ouch
One hundred billion dollars worth of GPUs (and all the RAM they can hoard) hard at work, ladies and gentlemen. Of course Slopya Nadella needs more data centers.

Remember, folks, HR is there too protect the company, not you.

Same. I had to disclose every single investment and bank account, payment apps, and loan for myself, my wife, and any dependents like children or aging parents. All to avoid even a possibility of something looking like a conflict of interest. In the meantime the fucking president of the country can hawk meme coins, and pardon actual convicted fraudsters. I asked about that on one of those zoom calls, but was ignored for some reason.

Work makes you use your own computer?

Wonder how climate change deniers will spin that one.
Comey likely can never face the same charges again.
As if it will stop these Nazis from drumming up some more bogus charges against him, or anyone else that dares challenge the orange führer.

I’d avoid cracking software. Every crack you download carries a nom-zero risk of infecting your PC with malware. I get your reluctance to switching to a different editing software, but it may be worth it.
I must’ve tried every free and paid photo editor out there, and none have feature parity with Lightroom Classic or Capture One. The thing most of them are missing is AI based tools like object masking, etc. Luminar Neo comes close, but I feel it’s only a matter of time before they go sub-only too. There’s a new free one called RapidRAW that has pitential.

Oh sure, I have 10 friends who would love to share their financial information with you.

This is the way.
Same for airfare, car rentals, cruises, etc. Cut out the fucking middle man. The booking sites used to be a nice way for consolidating your travel plans. But as everything else, they’ve enshittified themselves to a point where using them has become a major gamble.
Use them to find a deal, then go directly to the source. You may pay slightly more, but the fewer agreements you have between you and the service provider, the less chance you have of getting fucked over.

I hear Canada’s parks are gorgeous.
Also I loved Chichen Itza when I visited Mexico last year.

I’m gonna object that! The little fuckers are too coddled these days.

I’d argue that it hits gen pop even harder than it does us techies. How many times is a grandma going to switch video calling and messaging apps before her grandkids install WhatsApp on her phone? Is ANYONE going to touch any console Google releases in the future after the Stadia fiasco?
We techies are more open to trying out new technology, but for the other 99% of population though, tinkering is a nuisance rather than fun. They have better things to do than looking for ways to migrate their stuff out of the next Google project that’s being discontinued in 2 months.

It’s probably too late. Does anyone these days really believe that these companies actually delete anything?

After that - dubbing in realtime.
The real Spiderman will shoot webs by sneezing.
