I believe the common practice is to buy an Orient or Seiko, then get a Strapcode bracelet for that model.

Cool lume! I think the muted lume of the pattern on the dial is OK.

Looks very neat, and very portable. Nice!
If you’re OK with linears for the alpha keys, Gateron Milky Blacks have a nice deep sound.

1·3 years agoIs the TS11 practical for evening walks, or should I just stick to flooders?
I hope you enjoy using the TKL, @root

Mechanical Keyboards@lemmy.ml•What is a good wooden wrist rest that isn't too expensive?
2·3 years agoI think that’s the better option. Unfortunately, I don’t have any wood working skills or tools. I hope you get the wrist rest that you want soon, @NightOwl
Personally, I build boards to try out the different sizes (TKL, 75%, 65%, etc.), to find out what I like best, without hampering functionality. Then I just end up rotating between my fave ones.

1·3 years agoI got mine from a local woodworker. Maybe try to check if there’s one near you? The advantage is you can pick what type of hardwood you want for the wrist rest.

1·3 years agoFrom what I read, you can let the ketchup sit a bit longer on the copper, to remove more of the oxidation. I hope it works great for you, @Ongar

2·3 years ago@zzap129 gave me this tip:
“but you can always “reset” and get it back to shiny if you want. (I usually just take a little ketchup and a cloth and wipe it and it will look almost like new)”

2·3 years agoIt’s actually nice. It’s a lot warmer than the CSP 4000K, but not as yellowish as an LH351D 2700K (on a Sofrin HS10). Sorry I don’t have any measuring equipment, haha.
