Wikipedia is good until the subject touches geopolitical and historic issues. Then you mostly consume western propaganda on the topic. I often read both wikipedia’s and prolewiki’s article and it gets very clear

World News@lemmy.ml•Bob Vylan rapper will not be prosecuted over 'death to the IDF' chant
7·21 days agoNo apparently they also hate the singers of the music genre they don’t like
Also, possibly free speech is more important than opposing a genocide specifically

5·21 days agoAt least now you know that what we love even more than reading usians doing us centralism is reading a genuine realization like this message. Good reaction

uBlockOrigin@lemmy.ml•»Warum sind seriöse Nachrichtenseiten so machtlos gegen Fake-Anzeigen?
1·22 days agoBe careful when tagging accounts. Some are not Mastodon accounts but Lemmy communities, which is very different. This is the case here with the uBlockOrigin that you tagged :)
Otherwise, I agree with the message even though I am not aware of the particular issue you mention.
Using firefox will enable to use uBlockOrigin after Chrome made changes to the extensions API

Programming@programming.dev•Minesweeper game in 100 lines of pure JavaScript
3·22 days agoSure, value code minimal length, this is an exceletent idea. Just as much as Musk firing twitter devs who wrote fewer lines

Technology@lemmy.zip•AI Vending Machine Was Tricked into Giving Away EverythingEnglish
1·26 days agoI’m very curious, what should it tell us?
According to the guy in the picture, he did not use steroids to build his body either, but to retain muscle mass
You still haven’t explained about the sample part or the long weekend part
What long weekend?

Global News@lemmy.zip•Ireland: Widely used solar brands tied to forced labour in ChinaEnglish
5·1 month agoThere is no mass forced labor in Xinjiang
This is absolutely ironic since Google is known for their really good authorization system, but all of this is for nothing if you just give the AI full access on the drive. It seems they don’t have the authorization to read the Drive folders with normal Google API, but they could just run rmdir on the root
This seems to be Google Drive, so no chance there
Edit: I was immensely wrong. This is not G Drive as I though I read, but D drive. So local drive
This has been talked about again and again yes. Thymey wanted them bigger for better visual result, they made them bigger

World News@lemmy.ml•Sweden wants long-range weapon systems able to strike inside Russia
233·2 months agoMutual aid for? Just to remind of context, NATO is menacing Russia, not the other way around. Russia marched into LPR, DPR and Ukraine only after NATO threat of adding Ukraine. Btw at first LPR and DPR were recognized as independent by Russia before being integrated into the federation

Turns out this is not a laser thermometer, but an infrared thermometer with a laser pointer
Makes more sense than drinking other animals’ baby milk (which btw weakens our bones)

Global News@lemmy.zip•Russians claim to have rebuilt Mariupol Drama Theatre destroyed by their own airstrikes, reopening planned for December – photosEnglish
55·2 months agoYes they are indeed free to go to any country, contrary to the people on Ukrainian territory who are not allowed to leave the country.
The DPR and LPR do not want to be part of a country that bombed them in 2014 after the coup and again in 2022. They declared independence for a reason

They’re on mastodon or another similar software
But some people on Lemmy are friends. People personally interact with each others on Hexbear for example (but that’s a bit different, they’ve had history since their subreddit)
