We have a snow drought at present.
They do the first official snow and water supply forecast in the first week of February. Then they update it March, April, and May.

Why is it bad advice to give men the means to control their reproduction without any outside party involvement? Because nobody profits off of it? The article is about limiting access to birth control. I’m simply saying, if your government does it you can still have safe(er) sex. No hormones or abortions needed.
I don’t know who will find this information helpful but I wish I knew when I was young.
A woman is only fertile during about 5 days each lunar cycle. Unfortunately those days are the most fun but the other 24 are safer.
Testicles descend when it’s hot to cool down because heat kills sperm. If you buy a microscope, and dunk your sack in hot water for a few minutes each day, you can become temporarily sterile and verify it with the microscope.
Finally, there’s a point you can press just in front of your anus that suppresses ejaculation. Any one of those things by itself would be risky but all three and it would be nearly impossible to fertilize an egg.

That’s good the work is not seasonal. The permanent workers should be 90% focused on fuel reduction and fire breaks.
3·4 months agoIt depends on the mushroom. Some are easy to identify, while others may require a spore print and/or microscope. Mushrooms Demystified is a good book for the west coast of the US. It’s heavy on text and not on photos so you will need to study a lot to use it well. It’s also not a field guide.
Not ironically this would mess up granny and granddad when they activate it accidentally.
Try earplugs! Even just turning the volume down 70% changes the intensity of words. With earplugs in I could let somebody curse at me to my face and just let it slide. But without, even ambient noises add to a state of unease. A motorcycle driving by has a lot of subtle negative impact to everybody who hears it. You don’t have to be deaf to enjoy the benefits of silence. Hearing is a choice, but most people default to full open.

For our current level of inflation we should have dimes (the new penny), 50 cent pieces (instead of quarter), and coins for $1, $2, and $5. Then in bills we should have $10, $20, $50, $100, $500, and $1000.
