They have to smoosh crews with revolutionaries out the gate, an interesting way to interrogate the hierarchical structure of Starfleet. Jeri Ryan’s, Borg drone Seven of Nine comes along in season 4 and is a fucking revelation, some of the best character stuff. And peak Jeri Taylor, the VOY head writer with TNG roots.
