Can someone help me understand what is changed? As far as I know Gnome already had configurable shortcuts right

Yes, but it’s not application specific like you can get on Windows. So only system audio. I’m not sure if it excludes discord, as my sound setup separates chat and game audio
It works like a charm for me with Discord Canary. Discord Stable doesn’t seem to have it yet though?
Honestly OneDrive replacing the local folders is what made me fully switch to Linux

5·1 year agoI like the premise, but I’m thinking about what content you would want posted here?
Like “ads” naming good European products, or more asklemmy threads where someone asks for product to fit a need? Another option could even be news about the general European market

Nix / NixOS@programming.dev•Notification for auto-update / some way to easily trigger it manuallyEnglish
2·1 year agoAutoupdates during times when I’m not using the system might not work, as I usually shut down the PC when it’s not in use… 😅 Looks like the best way to deal with the issue is to try and write an application myself of sorts?
Would love to have a diff before building a new version, but reading this blogpost it seems you can only get one afterwards https://blog.tjll.net/previewing-nixos-system-updates/
Anyways, if I were to make an app myself, although not very reliable, using the
[] built, logging during thenixos-rebuildcommand could be a way to get some progressbar I think?
Not only funny, but also learned something today: you can use NegativeLiterals to not have to write (-123) in Haskell
The little doodad reminds me of the object in the “I made this” comic

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Should we A) colonise other planets or B) build habitats in the middle of space, like O'Neill Cylinders and stuff?English
11·1 year agoAll these answers are so killjoy and boring. Like yeah we should strive to make our own planet better, but why not also do this? Building habitats on other worlds doesn’t prevent us from caring for this one.
Plus maybe trying to make a liveable environment in space can give us new insights in preserving the one at home. Like how solar panels have come from space exploration.
That’s what I’m thinking too! The housing is probably too small to house it all but man it would be cool
It’s not too shabby, never really counted it but I believe it lasts for about 6h at least on a full charge? I usually only drive for around an hour max though so it’s more of a guesstimate
I have one of these, not sure if its the exact model but i can confirm. Comes with a battery.
Can also confirm (to my annoyance) that you cannot have it charging and play music at the same time. So don’t bother buying a slim angled micro usb cable like I did…

Gaming@beehaw.org•I asked what your fave controllers are, now. What is the worst controller you have used?English
7·2 years agoAny gamepad without vibration feels lifeless to me. This was one of the first gamepads I bought for PC, the Thrustmaster Dual Analog 4. No vibration, L3/R3 require a lot of force to press, no analog movement on the triggers. I guess what you get is what you pay for but man I don’t wanna go back to cheapo controllers…
Steam Controller is of course an unbeatable classic, almost it’s own category with the weird but charming touchpads.
Of the more conventional controllers I’m a big fan of my current Gulikit KK3 Max. I was looking for a controller with Hall-effect joysticks, and this one looked like one of quality, so I decided why not eh. Feels like a good controller when I use it, so I’m content with it.

4·2 years agoPlaying FH4 too, trying to get all the playlist related achievements before it’s too late 😋
One thing I’ve noticed is that you can’t be signed in from two places, so if you decide to play on desktop after playing on the deck, you need to sign in again…

6·2 years agoBought Dicey Dungeons as a good one to play on Deck. I can run it with the TDP on the GPU set to 3w, which increases the battery lifespan impressively, while still running great! Plus the game itself lends itself well to the deck I’d say.
