1·28 days agoFor me mainly like greasy nothing - I’ve tried guacamole very often because I love Mexican food, but the consistency simply isn’t for me. Same with hummus interestingly, so only sour cream for me
61·28 days agoSorry, but I don’t believe that more than 70 million people in the US eat quality food on a regular basis. Too many people there are just scraping by, are in prison or are not educated enough to allow for that number.
3·28 days agoAlso, it wouldn’t help much: birth rates in immigrant families drop to the national average within 2 or 3 generations.
There is actually another way: Make sure that having more children increases your economic security and social standing (not just lip service!). As long as having children results in a setback in any of those 2 categories, nothing will change. Sadly, I do not know of any country that has tried this approach yet, so i do not know if it works.
2·29 days agoIf they really try to outprice the common user in an attempt to drive people to subscription based services, I will simply not go with that - I’d rather just keep playing what I have. And I think I have already enough games until the end of my life - damn, even my PS2 collection can keep me entertained for a decade.
2·2 months agoMy favorite game on Android is currently Krumit’s Tale, followed by Shattered Pixel Dungeon.
This works great with @Nomad@infosec.pubs tip regarding the flexibility of our tongues.
Btw, the noses (so called becherocells) just create the slime (glycoproteins) to catch and bind bacteria entering from the outside, they (luckily) don’t create bacteria on their own.

If running a cheat on the local machine doesn’t work anymore, there is nothing stopping someone hooking up an SoC running a inference model analysing your screen and sending inputs to an usb-dongle that emulates mouse input. Can probably be Mass manufactured cheaper than those inflated price tags on those games.

2·4 months agoI just can’t play it because of how much they fucked over Mick Gordon. I won’t, not even for free.
You only have this view if you only play AAA games. The explosion of high quality indie and AA games in the last decade tells a different story. I haven’t bought a AAA game since Cyberpunk came out (and I pre-ordered a year early) if you don’t count Baldurs Gate 3 as one.
My last CoD was the original Modern Warfare, my last Battlefield was Bad Company 2, my last sports game NHL '05 (on the PS2 lol) and I don’t think I missed much.
I love cat quest, can also recommend the 3 Games for 2 player couch coop with low stakes on PC!
Lichtspeer is a nice time waster, Roundguard is a Peggle-Roguelike. For on the go I can recommend Krumit’s Tale, Meteorfall, You must build a Boat, Hoplite, Shattered Pixel Dungeon , Reigns, Slay the Spire. I can also recommend Cryings Suns, Stardew Valley (of course) and Yes, your Grace.
Most are paid, but if you want to try a lot, get yourself a month of Play pass where most are included.
Crying Suns falls into this category, being a FTL/Pauseable RTS mix
I found a few missing!
I personally loved Sunshine. if you are into Scifi; it’s not Interstellar, but it’s great in it’s own right.
Then there are movies that are so bad that they come out on top, the Sharknado series fill that spot for me.
I’m also a big fan of The Machinist, seeing what actors do to their bodies opened my eyes to the dedication they show.
A movie that was so full of suspense for me that I couldn’t watch it to the end in one sitting was The Hunt (2012), a Danish film about Mass Hysteria in a small village after someone gets falsely accused of child molestation.
All other movies that I can recommend are already mentioned in the other lists, and I’ve saved this whole thread for the huge amount of movies I’m still missing.
