Some people don’t have the energy after a long day to fight for a cause. Believe it or not, we’re not all as privileged as you. Many of us get up, take care of our jobs, our health, our families and maybe some catching up on personal issues before collapsing into bed. You’re suggesting that everyone is obligated to address the current political climate is completely tone-deaf, to be honest.

Instead of badmouthing the working class maybe you could put your money where your mouth is and organize, educate and support your community. The trans community is under constant attack from the right and we’re going to need all the allies we can in what comes next, PLEASE do not make things worse for us by antagonizing everyone.

I know you’re angry but your pain does not excuse bad behavior. If you mistreat people they will (and should) call you out on it; that doesn’t mean you’re being singled out or bullied. It means you’ve received a consequence.

To then pivot and say “I wasn’t looking for friendship from those people anyway” is a moral failure; you should have instead apologized to the people you hurt and tried to be better.

Cishets are ignorant, not bad people, and for you to publicly announce that you’re breaking up with them (rather than just… doing it) is petty and doesn’t solve the problem. Be better please. This community needs good people.
