Honestly I think both work depending how you look at it. On the one hand with waste bin, you are throwing your data away. On the other you are preparing to “recycle” the memory so it can be reused.

That is absolutely not true and clothes are doe ore then termal protection. Clothes are highly important for reduction in exposure to bugs, they also help limit direct exposure to sum UV. Sure there are places where you can go without clothing and be relatively okay, but to be totally honest you used one example for very specific locales. Rather than focusing on cellphone utilization in schools which is mostly just for politicians to feign that they care about education, how about we, I don’t know fund schools better, reduce class sizes, and just in general made it less an environment that children want to escape using phones and more of a dialogue of learning and self discovery for kids. The classes that did the best for me were small with an engaging teacher who made you feel like you were part of the dialogue and not just a data point for standardized tests.

I did, and while you give a meek might be used to teach history using a physical example at an arbitrary time in the future, you seem to miss my rebuttal that those are few and far between and it is just as easy for its use to swing the other way in the future. Before you go defending places as lost chances at teaching history, maybe you should check into the place and see what kind of things it was used for. The website doesn’t seem to suggest it was used to teach history, just a glorified white people wedding venue.

While your sentiment is a good one, from experience of living around such historical sites, most I have seen are operated by people like United Daughters of the Confederacy. The street really goes both ways with historical sites and while they can be used as grand gestures to show a horrible past in physical form to some who may see it, it can also be used as a propaganda tool of “lost glory” as the dsughters put it.

There is a town not too far from where I live that has a long history that has tons of white washed messages by the Daughters. Its frankly gross, but many people in that town don’t bat an eye because those same historical buildings are used to re-enforce their view of the world not change their perspective.

I don’t disagree with the fact that a lot of men obsessively eat meat and act like it is the only food worth eating is because of toxic masculine culture. I have met plenty of those type.

I do just want to add, in the context of this post, I think the motivation for the group being against meat eating is that it is a farming group, and I’m assuming, at least in some capacity, they represent animal farmers. They have a vested economic interest in stopping the push of lab grown meat. This is not me thinking they should, just thought I would point that out.

You fail to mention that studies of the antiviral properties of Ivermectin showed that the dosage requirements were proported to be higher dosage than what was considered safe and was likely to be toxic. Sure, maybe it can act as an antiviral medicine, but the other thing a medicine must do is, you know, not kill the person using it.

As an edit upon further reading, not only were some of the early studies suggesting dangerous dosage being required to see the affects, laterore rigorous studies showed little evidence it made a difference at all.

The worse part, that only too 2 minutes to google to see dones of papers on the subject, so maybe look into things before you parrot randos on the internet

I definitely think Microsoft is going to abandon Xbox because I think the see the writing on the wall in so far as why they are in this market. I think there will always be a place for dedicated gaming hardware like the PS5, but I think it will become more of a niche purchase as time goes on and I think Microsoft does too. I think they don’t like the numbers they are predicting for future console sales, but they do like the ones they are predicting for cloud gaming, since, in theory, anything with a screen and an internet connection could be a console these days. I have no clue if it will pay off for them (personally I hope not), but as technology gets better, the more space for people to settle throughout the wide spectrum of compute power. Microsoft I think wants to try to fill as much of the space as possible.

Just as a final note, that is a touch on my more personal opinion. I hope cloud computing is seriously considered as a huge source of the carbon footprint of the world with how much power it consumes.

A community is not something you can “migrate”. You are not migrating a community, you are migrating a community space and in doing so, you are alienating said community. If you are unwilling to provide a safe space for said community, the community will either find new space or take their space back.

The mod SkyUI has sorting and more info in the list of items itself so you don’t have to scroll to an item to compare stats. Those two features alone, make it infinitely better. It’s not just “smaller text”.
