Gotta be waffle cone taco innit
$65 for six?? Huff my whole asshole, I could figure out how to make that shit at home for half the cost and actually produce em for less than a tenth, I reckon.

Honey, the media amplified what people had been saying for years. Biden was too old, incapable and a truly terrible candidate. That had echoed during his primary and during his entire presidency where his administration did very little to improve things for Americans and less to prevent the rise of fascism. This country has previously weaponized its various departments, overtly and covertly, against left wing activists and politicians and routinely does fuck all against the right.
The DNC isn’t blameless here. Yes, people should vote against fascism, but also the opposition to fascism has a duty to select people who actively oppose fascism, not some pig and a doting old fool who didn’t recognize that politics have changed since the 80’s.
The DNC is the party of moderate neoliberal policy and stands for the entrenchment of capital consolidation. It’s no wonder that doesn’t get people off their asses and to the polls. It does nothing for them and arguably just exacerbates the conditions that set demagogues like Trump up for victory.

No, they weren’t perfect. Far from it. They were terrible choices put forth by one of the most powerful political machines on this planet, chosen to be just palatable enough to try and eek out a win from a further and further disconnected and disenfranchised populace. The DNC gambled and lost.
Skirting the primaries and forcing Kamala Harris onto voters was a massive folly that bypassed the people’s right to play a part in picking the candidate.
Are they preferable? Sure. I’d rather you attack me with a hack saw than a chain saw.
It’s hard to completely blame the nonvoters, though. They’re just doing what they were taught in civics. Voting for the candidates that best represented their interests. There weren’t any candidates they believed would actually address their issues. And there weren’t. And there won’t be. At some point, the onus must fall on the DNC to actually do their job and pick likable candidates and not just the voters to just fall in line with whoever the party says they will vote for. What’s wanted isn’t a mystery. It isn’t hidden. The DNC elects to avoid trying to actually help Americans and instead continues to cater to the wealthy just as the RNC does. But with a little different flavor.

Yup. And the DNC will take advantage of that fear to put forth candidates who will maintain the new status quo and fix nothing. The RNC will capitalize on the voter apathy and disconnect the DNC manufacturers and push the country further right.
Repeat ad nauseum. There’s no solving this via elections, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t participate in it.

Yup. Lose big fast or lose big slow. It’s politics, baby, you’ll never win, that’s for rich people only.

Awww shucks, here’s hoping it works for ya!

It’s a lose-lose scenario innit. Don’t vote, give tacit support for growing fascism, vote, give tacit approval for the DNCs continuous onslaught of dogshit candidates who will do nothing to fight growing fascism or improve the material conditions for Americans.
None of it matters if you don’t live in a battleground state, to be fair. If you’re in a firm blue or red state, your vote simply doesn’t matter.

I’d start by wiggling the outside casing to try and see where it’s attached to the frame of the machine and take out any screws holding it down, using a little dish or some folded up tin foil to hold all the screws of one type, then slap on a lil masking tape on that bowl, label it A, then another bit of tape on the part it came off, or near the holes they came from, and label those A, and then B for the next part, etc., all the while trying to free the casing that holds the on off switch.
Don’t disassemble more than ya have to. Another poster said they found teardown videos for devices of this make, I’d watch through those a few times to see if any of em get to the switch you’re trying to fix beforehand, so you got a better idea of what to expect and maybe you can minimize the amount of work you have to do to get it at it.
Take it slow and steady, there’s no rush. Anything that can be assembled can be disassembled.

Great PR move.
Never heard of this game or dev and now I’ve seen multiple articles about it.

You can use ketchup in stir fries the same way you’d use hoisin sauce or oyster sauce. Breaking it down, ketchup is tomato, vinegar, salt and sugar. I put it in after I’ve gotten the wok hei I want off the rice/veg/meat/egg, immediately after getting the food and fond off the sides of the wok with a lil shaoxing wine. Add in your sauces, toss to mix, sprinkle with scallion/chive/garlic scape greens, sesame seeds, serve.

Sounds like some schmutz got in between the plastic button and the switch inside. Can you take it apart and clean it out with some Q-tips and alcohol?

…oh yeah, this is deffo the dude the DNC is gonna shove down our throats

https://www.seriouseats.com/fondant-potatoes-recipe-5217320
This is the recipe I use, I replaced all the fats with duck fat during my last prep of it, but I think it would have been improved slightly by using an herbed compound butter (or margarine, in my case, I chose duck fat and duck bacon for making this with the beef bourguingon for kosher reasons) for the butter they throw in before the potatoes go in the oven.

I don’t care who is president, they ain’t abolishing ICE. The fed govt won’t give up this power now that it’s been granted it. Just ask em to undo the Patriot Act while you’re at it.

The other reply pretty much sums it up. Use it in lieu of butter, not vegetable oil.
Any instance you’d use schmaltz or beef tallow, duck fat can be used without issue. Though I know they deep fry potato wedges in the stuff in Frendh Canada… I just don’t have that much fat at once to use it for deep frying haha

Fish fragrant eggplant
Mapo tofu
Dumpling soup
Chicken veggie stir fry
Fondant potatoes (fried in duck fat mmmm)
Beef bourguingon (or whatever it’s called, the wine meat stew)
Black bean soup
French onion soup
Ropa vieja (with chicken)
I could go on but that’s what comes to mind quickly.
The advice seems sound and helpful for fighting depression, even if it’s not truly related to inflammation.
I dunno, sometimes it’s important to believe something even if it’s not entirely true if it helps you take actions that benefit you, even if not for the reasons you think it does.
