Do you see any non-european countries on the list? Why should the US be there?

True, but the quote is actually from the Norwegian rally legend Petter Solberg, so technically correctly spelled.
It’s not the fart that kills, it’s the smell
Fart = speed Smell = crash (or bang)
When I become dictator of the world, this will be the new time unit: https://metric-time.com/
The year will also have 13 months: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Fixed_Calendar
The year will be 12025: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocene_calendar
Because these things just make more sense. You will thank me after a few generations, because habits are hard to change.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•My kids don’t like to watch cartoons or movie explicitly made for kids. What are some good movies targeted toward adults that kids can watch?
52·11 months agoI watched Gremlins 2 when I was 13, and it scarred me for life. I did not find it funny at all, and it gave me nightmares for days. I have not seen it as an adult, and currently being 40+ years old, I probably never will.

Canada@lemmy.ca•25 cm of new snow and the cross country ski trails are freshly groomed. I'm in heaven.
4·11 months agoIt’s done by a Snow Groomer (or whatever it’s called in english) . One popular brand is called pistenbully https://www.pistenbully.com/en
To a mathematician, pi is 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993
To an engineer, pi is 3
The joke is basically the same, since you get resistors in certain values, and it’s necessary to select the value closest to the one you need

Syglekole?
Norway used to count like the Germans, but switched after the introduction of the telephone. There were simply too many mistakes when telling the numbers to the operators, that a change was mandated.
Old people might still use the 2+90 variant though, but it is not very common.
My wife’s name sounds like Annette Alonso (not her real name - this one is made up) , and her new employer had standardised emails the first two letters from the first name and the first two letters from last name. You bet she was furious with anal@company.com, given that she was going to be working with clients. She ultimately got it changed to anna@company.com
This is exactly what I experienced. It’s 30 years ago, and i still remember that I had trouble drawing my breath due to laughing way too hard.
That sounds fucking delicious.
Just arrange a dick measuring contest, and the largest dicks with the smallest wieners will come together. (pun not intended)

How to say you’re from the US without saying you’re from the US. Sorry, man.
