Boost for Lemmy@lemmy.world•Sync for lemmy has been released on google play. What about Boost for lemmy? When is it coming?English
41·3 years agoI deleted sync, even though I was using sync before. For now, Summit is better for me. Free and fluid. No ads. In fact, $20 is not a lot of money if you live in a developed country. Unfortunately, it’s a lot of money for my country.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Musk failed to get the necessary permits to change Twitter’s building signage to X, and the police shut it down just in time for “er” to remain.
219·3 years agoI know a lot of people don’t like it. But the people who have changed the world have always been far from ordinary. He prefers to sensationalize rather than advertise.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Viewing lemmy posts by all tends to be dominated by a few communities
301·3 years agoIf a community has grown a lot, unfortunately it takes up all the posts on the homepage. If I were a developer, I would sort by weighted success. For example, if the “x” community has 1000 subscribers and the post gets 100 likes, it has ten percent success. If the other ‘y’ community has 100 people and gets 11 likes, it has 11 percent success. This overrides the post in community x because the post in community y is more successful. This is the logic of ‘weighted success’. With this logic, a better ranking formula can be created.

Technology@lemmy.world•It has begun !!! Now we need passwords for each other !!English
26·3 years agoWhy don’t people use “Threema”. They can provide lifetime secure communication with a one-time payment. Also, you don’t need a phone number. If your phone number is captured, it will not be a problem because Threema provides communication with personal codes, not phone numbers.
Does anyone know about SafeInCloud?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you could have one small thing as a superpower. What would it be and why?
8·3 years agoI wouldn’t advise you to get depressed with this superpower. 🙂

Technology@lemmy.world•Fable Studios created an AI-generated episode of South Park... during a Hollywood strike over AI.English
910·3 years agoWhen the printing press came out during the Ottoman Empire, those who wrote handwritten books started a rebellion. Today, there is no professional group that writes by handwriting. There will always be anti-AI protests. But if a technology has emerged that makes a job cheaper and faster, you can’t avoid it. I recommend that you eliminate the professions that will disappear when directing professions for your children.

Try Summit. With the new update, hide read function has arrived. I contacted the developer and put it on the fab button :). However, do not forget that it is still in beta, there are some missing parts.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Downvotes = “I disagree” or “this is bad and you should feel bad”?English
16·3 years agoIf I want an article to be read by others, I give an upvote. I’ll downvote if I don’t want it. It has nothing to do with my side of the idea or the event. For example, a rape news was shared. My upvoting does not mean that I support the incident, it just means that it will come to the fore so others can see it.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•How would you feel about awards on lemmy?English
21·3 years agoI have an idea. Now I thought about it. Lemmy will allow the server owner to create a “paid” community. The name of this community will be like “helpforlemmy.world” or “coffeeforruud”. People will pay to be able to subscribe to this community. These communities will be passive and only people who want to help will have sent money by subscribing.
