I count 25 serious communities just on the first page of your instance showing all communities from all instances (37 on the second page). This is the primary way to find new communities, and it’s relatively simple to use, imho.

Look, people have explained it to you several times in here and at this point you’re being purposefully obtuse. Go subscribe to non-meme communities, only look at your subscriptions, and maybe stop bothering people demanding they cater to how you want to communicate. Your life and experiences aren’t a universal experience, let other people be.

The only memes I see are from meme communities, and I see a bunch of communities dedicated to thoughtful discussion, because I’m subscribed to them. I never look at the frontpage, I only look at my subscribed communities, and I’m only subbed to a minimal amount of meme communities. If I unsubbed from them, I wouldn’t see memes at all.

Also, the world is fucking dark and shitty. Sometimes people would rather make jokes about it than talk deeply about it because they’re trying to not go crazy and end up suicidal from facing too much darkness. Humor is often used as a release valve for painful subjects. Why not let the people who don’t have it in them to get into lengthy discussions just handle it in whatever way works for them.

So to me it’s actually unsurprising that they would be posting them to darknet sites, just like it’s unsurprising the number of them that have cryptocoin wallets. Especially in law enforcement, where they gather a lot of their evidence from electronic sources these days, so they have to be a little bit more aware of how easily accessed it is than the average chud.

Seriously though I know living under a new Nazi regime with tons of money and weaponry is distressing, the USA has made life in other countries a living hell for decades upon decades now, especially in South America. It’s hard to feel that sorry for myself, despite all my rage.

It’s not even about making money, it’s about replacing human workers with digital slaves while driving down worker pay and driving more humans to desperation and lower pay. Even if they don’t make a massive profit, they plan to replace as many human workers as possible and drive down overall labor costs for the foreseeable future. Just like inflated prices don’t come down, depressed wages won’t come up.

I’m going to quote something I wrote in June of 2020 regarding the idea of police abolition or replacing current police with new officers while also changing the way policing works entirely:

I mean, this article is all about how lawless they are. You don’t think they’re going to just steal all the weapons and body armor and ammo from each precinct and take them home and act like they have no idea what happened to them all? Who is going to march in and arrest them and enforce it?

I say this as someone who is 100% on the side of police abolition. But yeah, I think this guy is right that a specialized force of some kind might still be necessary to contain psychotic assholes with high powered weaponry and a history of being lawless pricks.
