If you noticed a lot of media attention to climate a few years ago - together with so-called “wokeness” (I was ‘woke’) etc - I’m afraid it was all propaganda campaigns aimed at getting EU to cut off fossils from Russia. The immense scope and effectiveness of these campaigns are beyond what ordinary people can even imagine, and they are being bombarded with “See, ‘conspiracy-theorists’, let’s laugh at them so to deflect our believers attention”. It is pure manipulation, and it works…
The nasty fact is that Western Oligarchs - the s*itters in power, don’t care shit about ‘climate’, ‘diversity’, ‘freedom’, ‘Democracy’ or ANY such pro-social attitudes. ‘Wellfare’, security from psychopaths, freedom from surveillance capitalism, and other nasty effects from capitalism that enshittifies everything around us, are what we don’t get ! If everything are emergent fractals from a core equation, then all fractals will be variations of the first (+neighbor fractals) and contain the same-ish mechanisms/phenomenons - just ‘mixed’ with prior fractals. In most fractal equations we get a pattern that repeat it-self over scales, and for instance the mandelbrot ‘bulb’ pops up at different scales, and certain shapes re-surface, so I would expect the same type of fractal patterns in the universe where phenomenons show a steady or ‘punctuated’ path all the way down. They are a little hard to see though - likely because of noise and compounded complex systems that contain many phenomenons at once.
Ignoring std consensus for a sec: I see ‘charge’/polarization all the way down, ‘pull’ forces like gravity/magnetism might be the same core equation and the same for all the other high-level phenomenons. Energy pr. volume space goes up when going down, phenomenons get ‘sharper’/more defined and simpler. All point - lightly - towards a fractal universe.
Maybe the proto-equation of the universe looks like x=x² + y (y=noise). Not far from E=mc² + noise.

“Economics” need a re-write too. They have elevated “profits” higher than “Truth-seeking”, and their field are swamped in non-scientific claims and processes that cause ‘Truth’ to become second fiddle to “profits”.
The profit motive compromises Scientific thinking/behavior on ALL levels of the Scientific system, is orthogonal to the truth incentive so only align/overlap in rare cases. Capitalism/free markets is a combative ideology - a belief-system - that generates a perpetual need for profits and kills good Science behavior.
