Even if he did say it before the election, terrorists wait till the last minute to release the hostages in order to get as many concessions as possible before the deadline they were given. The Iran hostage crisis played out in a very similar manner. Jimmy Carter also tried to get the hostages back for a year with no success. It wasn’t until Reagan was coming into office that the hostages were released.

Bidens had over 400 days to get a deal done and couldn’t. Trump said that if the hostages weren’t released by the time he takes office all hell would break loose in the middle east. It’s obvious what happened here, at least to most of the country

Trump will get done what Biden couldn’t just like he has with Hamas but it’s going to take some time now since Biden decided to escalate the war right before leaving office by giving the go ahead to Ukraine to attack Russia with US weaponry and giving them the weaponry to do it.

Why would Republicans want to pass it when it’s got so much extra garbage in it? 100 million for migrant farm workers, fleets of electric busses, pay raises for congress along with exempting themselves from Obama Care while forcing it on the rest of us, etc. No thanks. That doesn’t seem like much of a CR bill to me. It’s more like another omnibus spending bill.

They could still pass a CR bill and push it out until January but that wouldn’t include all their pork in it including pay raises for themselves and exempting themselves from Obama care so sadly, it’s all or nothing.
