2·8 days agoThanks for the detailed list! How can I find the owners corp and annual fee, do I have to ask the agent or is there a site?
Main place I’m looking at is in West Footscray, and I’ve been living around here for 10 years now. Happy with the locale and it’s close to P/T and I can walk to work 😊

4·8 days agoGoogle Maps shows the building I’m eyeing having existed since 2014. I can see scaffolding on the 2022 photos, seems to have had some exterior work done to the whole complex.

6·8 days agoI’m looking at buying an apartment for my own living needs. It’s my first time doing this. What sort of things should I be looking for during inspections and what questions should I ask?

3·17 days agoIn my country the government funds all 3 models for free for ages 3-5, albeit limited to a few days a week.
The service we provide is leagues above what state run centres are offering (and obviously for profits). A purely state run model is not the ideal as the state has a terrible understanding of education, focusing on metrics instead of each child’s needs.

14·17 days agoIt’s the period where the brain is doing the most development. You learn more in the first few years than at any other stage in life. As such we are able to set in motion a lifelong passion for creativity, exploration, and learning. Basic skills such as social interaction, picking up multiple languages, transferring or adapting prior knowledge to new situations, persisting through a challenging situation, etc. Not to say this can’t be taught later in life, but it’s so much easier at this age.

184·17 days agoAs an early childhood educator, I’m always wary of government attempts at this. Shame the article doesn’t mention any more.
Does it come with increased benefits for the overworked, underpaid educators or does it add more children into an already struggling sector?
What are the curriculum requirements/framework like?
Is it paying for profit centres to do it for free and get paid a set sum by the state or is it state run centres?
We’re not just a place to dump children while families work. It’s the most critical education period a child will ever go through.
Reminds me of something I read where someone taught someone something, transitioned, and later had that same person mansplain it back to them.
I’ve received your report claiming @Deceptichum@quokk.au was ‘Harassment & stalking’ you and have found zero evidence of them downvoting any posts of yours outside of this thread in the last 2 pages.
I have found ample evidence of sexism and racism originating from yourself however, and it is for that reason i will be banning you from our instance.
It’s all good, you’re still technically correct. The Gregorian calendar is based off of Europeans, so it would still be originated from their winter solstice.
But it’s the middle of summer!

Anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Am I an anarchist if I’m involved in electoral politics?English
4·1 month agoElectorialism is irreverent to anarchism. Our time and effort can be better spent on building up parallel communities.
I vote every 4 years because it’s a material choice of 10 minutes in line at the local school or a fine worth an hours work if I don’t. If someone wants to vote because they think it might do harm reduction, who cares? What matters is where they’re spending their energy.
Way I see it, ditch the party campaigning, vote for them if you want - it won’t make a difference, and focus on something more beneficial.

Did we finally find the mythical ‘bad boy’?
The urge to want to dig in and eat, but the need to make sure no one is going to eat you. What a tough predicament.
They lived in cities with millions of people.
Police weren’t invented until I think the 1800s?

So is that why my favourite sci-fi characters are Captain Janeway, Samantha Carter, and Ripley? Hmm even Buffy.
Okay I’ve certainly got a thing with strong women, especially when wearing tank tops now that I think about it.
