Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What question can I ask ChatGPT, right now, that will reliably produce a factually incorrect, wrong, or false answer?
1·2 months agoNo it’s not. It will get it plain wrong. The seventeen example it may get right sometimes but for the carwash example I haven’t seen it ever produce the correct result. Weirdly enough people also get this wrong but still. See https://opper.ai/blog/car-wash-test

1·2 months agoThe voice version will, i confusingly said chat when i meant voice. The carwash example will get it wrong(both voice and chat), at least it did on 5.4.

Technology@lemmy.world•Students are speeding through their online degrees in weeks, alarming educatorsEnglish
11·4 months agoDegrees are very expensive in the us* most European countries the cost is much less. I think liberation of the yoke in the us is liberating to be honest. I think going to higher education physically however is more than just doing the content, but also doing the soft stuff — learning how to communicate clearly with others. This is lacking this, and then you have AI ofc which makes it difficult regardless

Open Source@lemmy.ml•UltraPlot -- a succinct wrapper for matplotlib
4·8 months agoThanks for not burning us to the ground immediately😉!
Since we don’t intend to replace matplotlib, we still inherent the quicks but intend to smooth those out. For example we provide a custom gridspec that allows for 2d slicing (or linear slicing); layouts by default are flexible and sharing where it makes sense.
I do wonder, what would the alternative look like for the standard `fig, ax‘ paradigm? I am aware of plotly’s approach, but am willing to explore other options.

2·9 months agoI agree. All I am saying that in the limit where we all use services that respect privacy and stay away from big tech, we still have a major issue that we currently don’t have a solution for and is very hard to avoid or eliminate completely.
