Honestly it was enjoyable but to me completely misses the point of book 1’s journey.

Did Aang learn waterbending? No. Did Katara try to/struggle with teaching him while she was learning herself? No. Was Katara the strong female lead she was in the show? Basically the heart of the show? No.

Eine Hauptstraße. Ich parallel auf dem Fußgängerweg. Auto auf Hauptstraße mir entgegenkommend. Ich will geradeaus über Seitenstraßeneinfahrt weiterlaufen. Autofahrer biegt in diese Einfahrt ein, während ich bereits auf der Straße stehe.

Hätte die Person geblinkt, wäre ich am Übergang stehen geblieben, war halt nicht so. Daraufhin hupt die Person.

Allgm. scheint blinker Sonderausstattung zu werden. Da lauf ich neulich über die Straße, sehe ein Auto näherkommen, warte tatsächlich noch ab ob es ein mögl. Abbiegen anzeigt, tut es nicht, gehe also rüber und die Person am Steuer hupt, weil dann in die Eisen gestiegen wurde.

My goto brain vent book series are the Alex Verus books by Benedict Jacka. It’s y/a urban fantasy in London without being too childish or over sexualised. The ~400 pages each book are easy to read.

On the other hand I currently read “Slow Horses”, the book series the AppleTV show is based on. These are stories focused on the worst of MI5 and how they stumble across and solve a case, or prevent something.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the country who effectively eradicated Jewish life in Germany and large parts of Europe is backing Israel. According to Wikipedia there are only 120 synagogues in Germany, compared to ~45 000 churches and ~2 700 mosques today. Before Nazi Germany there were around ~2 800 synagogues.

The German state and every German citizen has the historic obligation to protect Jewish life.

The easiest way to project this outward to the public is to support the only state founded upon Jewish tradition, in comparison to the plethora of Christian or Islamic tradition ones.

That the Israeli government is right wing is imo obvious and Israeli citizens are apparently fed up with it as well.

I hope that the killings end and that there is a way for peace and cooperation in the region. Every person using an ideology/religion to divide rather than connect shouldn’t be considered a good human in any society.
