Why would Europe defend a country that’s being helping Russia to attack us? We’re not suicidal. Good that those religious fascists are gone.

Why should Europe care for Iran? Nobody cared when Russia attacked Ukraine with Iranian support.

Do you think democracy is not an existential threat to the current regimes of Russia and China!?

A subjugated, without own defensive capacity, better for them? Then they can dismiss our democracies and freedom with the simple accusation of being a “US colony”. A strong, independent and autonomous democratic Europe with a strong social system is the biggest threat to any dictatorship or empire.

They don’t want European competition and especially no European power in whatever shape.

Thank you, the evil this man spreads is not shared enough. He’s at least as hateful and toxic as Le Pen, both terrible for France and Europe. We can thank them both for another delay with the Mercosur deal, just to give a recent example. Putin puppets is just the start of their evilness.

oh, these extremist dudes always love a strong man that shouts loud and aggressively… left or right, the psychological mechanism is exactly the same, the end result also: violence and racism.

The rapporteur is Spanish but I’m quite sure most of the far right votes come from elsewhere… hell, these days they come from all over the continent anyway. The trick is, once again, vote for EP elections and vote for pro-EU parties only. Far-right or -left is made of Russian puppets dancing to Chinese marches…

True, but they’re part of Schengen, symbolically and also from a human perspective, a much more powerful policy than fisheries or customs…

If Germany is complicit what is Syria then? Easy to protest in free countries, but I don’t see any friend of Gaza around the Middle East.

Iceland is already more integrated in the Union than the UK ever was. They should have a say on the discussions that very directly influence them. Same for Norway btw.

A country refusing the return of its own citizens, no this is not ok. And on the other hand, being able to deport foreigners is part of the sovereignty of any country, and migrating to countries like Guinea is not, contrary to the general assumptions, easy, because those countries are very aware of their sovereignty.

The tone of the article seems to suggest that refusing the deportation of your own citizens is a legitimate move by Guinea, it’s not. So the EU replies in the same currency… which I find perfectly proportional, contrast to what the newspaper suggests.
Same for Portugal, but in this case the American accent is from Brazil… 😅

Nobody is perfect and I don’t expect any politician to be. He’s for sure better than Orban and I would definitely vote for him if I was Hungarian, because I do believe in avoiding greater evils. That said, his positions on Ukraine or EU integration are far from ideal.
The article is worth looking for a paywall remover ;)

This alone should be more than enough to declare him senile and unfit to be president, no? There’s no mechanism in the US to remove a senile president? It’s literally danger to keep someone senile in power even in small countries with no nukes, in the US it’s suicidal on a planetary scale.

I saw a post on LinkedIn of someone claiming that it should be easy for the European Banks to develop a common brand, Wero for instance, for debit cards. Europeans love debit anyway, so that would be great.
Develop a credit card system would be more complicated and costly, he argued. He knew about the technicalities of the issue…
I would love a Wero debit card.

Exactly, they pay a lot and don’t get all the benefits and have no say at the table where many decisions that will impact them take place.

Ukrainians die every day victims of Iranian drones. Iran sponsors terrorism against Europeans through Russia, Hamas, Hezbollah etc… let them rotten. This is not our war, but this might end up being good for us. We owe them nothing.
