4·4 months agoIt’s just a tool. Increased utility can always be misused, but that is a poor reason to delay advancement. Yes, we should be aware of potential abuses of better technology. But we should use this awareness as a tailwind to propel us to the greatest number of beneficial discoveries that we can.

Everything built or planned using computer modeling software, down to the trig functions on your calculator… they all use polynomial approximations to allow a discrete mathematical machine to get us to within a certain error percentage of a continuous function in a timely manner.
