There’s a huge number of people out there who are fed up with both parties and see those parties as equally (or near enough) bad. He’s appealing to those who dislike Trump and Biden. Don’t underestimate his ability to play spoiler to one of them.

We don’t sentence & punish people based on their politics. That way leads only to crazy fascism.

No one deserves to be raped and murdered in prison. The justice system is far from perfect but we don’t sentence people to be raped and then murdered. We do rarely sentence people to death, but not by vigilante shanking or beating.

I think most people understand it, but even referring to it as a type of “porn” normalizes it to some extent.

The politically correct term CSAM is to differentiate it from ordinary porn which is legal and at least somewhat socially acceptable and ensure that people understand that when children are involved, it is always abusive. The terms mean the same thing, but being precise with language is important.

Porn is a legal thing that normal people enjoy. The term CSAM takes a stance that it is always abuse. I think they are basically interchangeable but CSAM is the currently preferred term.

I thought Microsoft was the one requiring feature parity. It sounds like the real story is MS caving.

The males can be kind of aggressive in buzzing around you but they don’t have stingers like the females do. They’re big scary looking wasps but pretty harmless. They lived in my back yard for years and no one I know ever got stung by one.
