Well possibly not comprehension, in my defence I would say I was referencing the world as it is not as we might wish it to be. I know that is balked at but it is a useful exercise sometimes as it is the place we live. This is not the right platform for such back-and-forthing though as any alternative points of view are heavily downvoted in the name of free speech by people who smell slightly of boats.

The insidious nature of AI is that it meets our needs and at this early stage and for obvious reasons that might be more the case for men. Given that premise it could incidentally rob women of a superpower.

I don’t think they are attacking our brains they are learning from our brains how to manage the world we have created. We are happily training them to inherit our institutions and any stupefying effects these models might have are probably around the least of the problems they will present to us. And we stopped running not because of cars but because of calories.
Sugar is used as a preservative but until you make your own jam you have no conception of how much sugar is used, jam is just jelly for adults.
This has a real Darwinian feel to it, if you open your finances to AI models just generally then you probably have it coming. That said twenty years ago giving free access to your bank account to something like Google Wallet would have been unthinkable yet here we are.
Self preservation is a natural high priority instinct in all organisms so most people are fairly pro about it and any few that are not will not last long enough to comment here. If you are referring to cryogenics when you say self preservation then I regard that as just a slightly desperate and unscientific example of the instinctual self preservation I mentioned first.
Would that it were so simple.
People want to have a spiritual aspect to their lives, mythology just allows it, it is shared because people’s minds are all similarly structured.

Here is a thing which is not much discussed, when a human is employed they have a sort of forced loyalty or solidarity with the company that employs them as their livelihood is variably dependent upon its success but AI agents have no such dependency or feelings of innate mutual benefit.
