I question if this is truly a labor shortage or if it’s a “we don’t want to hire, train people and pay an actual fair, livable wage” shortage.

This is why I’m nervous about going back to school too. I’ve seen people find out their professors are just using AI and it feels so…gross. You pay a lot for school! What’s the point if it’s all just phoned in? And then to top it off you aren’t guaranteed a good job afterwards even if you do well.

I wish there was a better solution to all of this because I would like to change my life trajectory as I’ve grown tired in my current position

To me this feels like the largest thing people have agreed upon in a very long time. I have no solid numbers but it just feels like the opinions have shifted. I saw it happen in real time at my job with my coworkers. There’s still people hyped on AI bs but It feels like people are becoming educated on the pros and cons of AI and when it’s actually useful vs what we’re using it for.

I’m hoping we can see some positive changes sooner rather than later.

It’s possible I just put myself in spaces that contain less opposing ideological beliefs. I tend to avoid people that seem unwilling to even consider other options or possibilities. So you might have a point. I actually have no idea. It would be interesting if we could get exact numbers on the overall human races beliefs and opinions on things

I wana say a good chunk of humanity has good takes. Unfortunately those in power often go with the worst ideas in pursuit of power and money

I hope he goes free. He did everyone in his community a favor and will probably see prison time and a mark on his record for it.

I’m hoping that with the rise in costs due to numerous wars, oil, AI, greedflation etc. Maybe people wont be able to afford their bread and circuses and maybe just maybe we’ll remove our kings and restore prosperity.

I’ve never had this. Where does one find a job like that today lol. I want to say the majority of people actively do not have this unless they are in a situation where they have been able to live more frugally. Inflation and greedflation have made any pay increases I’ve received in the past decade basically non existent.

That being said I’m basically supporting a family of 4 on a salary of 1.5 people.
