  • @wjs018@piefed.social ,

It would highly motivate users of Fecesbook to migrate to PieFed if we could have a mixed feed of microblog posts and community content, like Fecesbook does it. That’s what its users are accustomed to, and it feels like you’re losing on something when the competitor cannot do the same.

In the end I’ve been okay with having Mastodon and PieFed separately, but it did feel a bit odd for first. And for others it is likely to be a show-stopper in the beginning. They’d probably get used to it, but once the show’s stopped, that won’t really help.

An ability to have a feed mix the two types of content would be one of the many kicks Meta needs and deserves on the balls.

  • Here’s my order of preference for these:

    1. Comment jump button, which jumps to the next top level comment
    2. Up-/Downvote by gestures as in the Voyager app.
    3. Edit alt text in posts and images in comments
    4. Create communities in Blorp
    5. Promote moderators in Blorp
    6. Continue adding support for nsfw content viewing
    7. The groundwork to allow viewing posts that aren’t in communities, which could maybe (no promises) make mbin possible
    8. Expand post to load more types on content directly in Blorp (e.g. redgifs were added recently)
    9. Translate Blorp into other languages
    10. Edit community sidebar in Blorp
    11. Less comments moving/shifting around as they load (most noticeable on posts with 100+ comments)
    12. Fix Android full screen video controls getting cut off (if you’ve seen this bug)
    13. Streamline login experience (I cannot even recognize what’s wrong with it)

  • What’s it like to go to doctor?

Well, annoying. Something is wrong in your body and that’s never fun. And then they need to do some procedures that also usually won’t feel nice.

A broken arm, for example, probably means some kind of painkiller pushed into my muscles with a syringe. That hurts. And then I’ll be needing a cast. Meh.

This answer sounds kind of banal… But this is proably about what you did expect(?)
And I don’t know if I’d have to pay. Never broken an arm. Probably nothing. Or maybe many tens of euros? Definitely not over 50 €, though.

I’m in Finland, but this should, by all logic, apply to pretty much the whole of not-USA.

    All?

So, if I collect clay in some remote place, and make a dinner plate out of it to use in my kitchen, then that dinner plate, which is my property, has been gained and maintained through violence? And it’s okay to eat me if I refuse to let go of my dinner plate?

I mean, I do agree with the sentiment of “eat the rich”, but for fuck’s sake, how is all property supposed to be violence? All property really does include even my toothbrush.

    Words do matter.
