How I see it:
When Harambe died, it sparked memes hinting towards there being a reason for his death. Either for the greater good, or the cause of all the world wide negative events since. When Harambe died, this plug hid itself out of sight to keep the secrets about Harambe safe until meeting someone they could trust: you. Now they are ready to spill the secrets, and trust in you that you will be able to save the world.
