  • “School bodies”. . .yes. We are one of the most transparent organizations that deal with children. Predator behavior has zero tolerance and there are way more people in education ready to call out a colleague to protect a child than would be willing to cover it up. You should be ashamed for putting false information about this on the net as if you have any idea. Educators get enough grief as is and they take care of our children and guide them into better futures, a great deal of times without adequate resources.

  • “Sooo. . . . Are we supposed to have kids?”

No, just sit around and watch this shit keep happening or better yet, just go on your phone and pretend nothing is happening. You could also just blame everything on everyone else and still keep contributing to the things you are complaining about . . .

Or fucking go and do something , like maybe even something as simple as casting a vote. So many of the younger people are complaining and then when the bare minimum can be done by voting for someone who has the same values . . .nope.

And half the voting population just stays home because, “Both sides are the same!” Whelp, that’s an easy way out and just adds to the bullshit.

How about: look for some nuance in the candidates? Or maybe just vote against the more evil fuck. Or maybe get involved, run for some leadership role, help out people in your neighborhood, advocate for spending more on education, protest. . . Do something . It’s your turn! Get off the internet and do something.

  • Yeah, you don’t know what you’re talking about; yet you make a bold statement as if you do. Curriculum is decided by the state and literacy rates can be skewed by the amount of ENL students and citizens you have in your population. The problem is bigger than what this article alludes to. No war except class war. Socioeconomic disparity is the biggest problem in this country, but the people with the money give us scapegoat after scapegoat and we keep falling for it.

  • If you’re going to college to just get a certain job so that you can be safe and secure financially, then I would suggest a trade school. Of course unless you want to be a: doctor, teacher, engineer, or similar. College is designed to open doors and broaden horizons. . . or at least that’s what it used to be (some still are) until the corporate overlords realized they could use them to print money.

  • It’s easier to complain and blame the “other” instead of the actual people doing the deed, it seems. I am so sick of the generation of people who like to say that all “blank” are the same - instead of looking for something worth fighting/voting for. Nuance takes time and paying attention takes away from the fun things. Local politics is easier to discern which of the parties is actually governing, so the least that can be done is voting for the party in your local elections that actually falls parallel to your values (or is the closest) - but again, it’s easier to just complain than to actually do something about it.

I don’t want to engage in violence and I certainly don’t want a gun. So, in this violent world of yours. . . Where do I (and people like me) weed out? Do I just lose if everyone turns to violence to solve equality problems? Your logic is sound in some ways, but is definitely flawed in others.

Yeah, maybe this comic isn’t the same, but my problem with the “my eyes are up here” thing is that men and women alike know that breasts are a turn on for some people and yet they wear a shirt/skirt exposing them and then get angry when the people attracted to them are caught looking. If you don’t want men/women looking at your breasts - then maybe don’t expose them.

None of these, including the cartoon are examples of gaslighting. This is much more complicated than just telling someone they don’t remember something as they see it in their mind. It’s a series of ongoing purposeful lies to manipulate someone into your control. It’s the same type of misconstrued understanding of bullying. If someone treats you like an asshole - it does not mean they’re a bully. . . It just means they’re an asshole. Bullying is comprised of an ongoing mental/physically manipulation of someone in order to dominate them. Other examples of new gen cherry picking include the miss used “anxiety” and “OCD”. I work with teenagers who use social media too much and love to self diagnose and/or mislabel.
